Caley was the TE coach, and the TEs were disappointing. No idea why anyone would want Caley.

Why does he seem so appealing to other teams?? The entire O was disappointing he was at his best when he had Gronk, Develin & Company.

No idea. I think it is strange too.

Bill O'Brien's offensive schemes took Brian Hoyer and Brock Osweiler to the playoffs in back-to-back-seasons...

Pretty sure that D'Andre Hopkins had something to do with that.. Not to mention a solid O-line and one helluva defense.

True, but….is he wrong on this one? I mean, look at Daniel Jones this year vs. Mac Jones this year.

Last year everyone though DJ was washed up and a bust, while Mac was a promising rookie find.

This year DJ is playing well and a legit starter while Mac (in some circles) is about to be run out of town.

Common denominator:

Joe Judge (plus the addition of Matt Patricia and look at the Lions now).

Coaching does matter.
I agree with you that Judge sucked. But that's the ONLY thing that Greenberg has correct.
Last year's Giants and this year's Giants weren't remotely similar.

The 2021 Giants:
Jones injured for 6 games
The Giants had to use 11 Different WRs.
Giants placed 30 people on the IR.

2022 Giants:
Jones played in 16 of 17 games, sitting out the season finale.
Giants only used 9 WRs. But that includes Toney whom they shipped off to the Chiefs.
Giants only placed 14 players on IR.

Saying it was the same team is completely disingenuous on Greenberg's part.

Great context thx! I admit to not following the Giants heavily enough to know that info.

What Greenberg meant is that Schoen didn’t have opportunitty to infuse the team with enough additional talent to make a meaningful differenice. No matter. Daboll has done a masterful job.

Also... Saquan had a huge bounce back year.

~600 yards rushing vs. ~1300
41 Receptions vs 57
2 Rushing TD vs 10

So you had a better line, stayed healthy, had the return of (arguably) the best dual threat RB in the league (probably top 5 overall?)...

also not a fan of Joe Judge he seems like a bit a of an @ss to me... but that was a total hot take saying its exact same team haha

The Chargers canning their OC hurts us. That is an infinitely better job than this one so if we are competing were already behind and apparently according to the PFW guys our coaches are on vacation this week said when we are supposed to be starting the process.

These are the type of reports were you know it's almost a guarantee that BoB won't be the future Pats OC. Lol

Damnit

Agreed…that job comes with a lot of solid ingredients to cook with.

The fact we haven’t Interviewed anyone yet leads me to believe they already have a deal with Bill OB just need to iron out the details.
That the interview is just window dressing.

we will at least need to do the minority interviews, so these can be done soon if they have already BoB in mind.

Shoresy for OC
"FU Judgey your life is so sad I should get a charity tax break just for hangin out with ya"

NSFW but an entertaining diversion. Carry on now.

Is that Bill O'Brien at Logan?

I don't care about what people previously thought

I mentioned it only because most of us, myself included, ass-umed that we would see the proverbial 2nd-Year Leap from him; in fact I recall posting before TC that Mac was the least of my worries on offense... Turns out I should've been more worried about him than I was then... Not as much as I already was about the OL, WRs & almost the Entire offensive coaching staff, but more worried nonetheless.

I'm hoping to see a second year leap from Patricia next year.
