Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

If the Bucs hung on to Cole Beasley, who had 35 yards and a TD, maybe the Bills lose.

I'd love to know the real reason why Beasley did his pretend retirement to leave the Bucs.

My impression was that the Bucs didn't really want him. He was an extra and treated him as such.

The Bucs have such a hard time with short yardage, a quick twitch short area guy in the Edelman mold like Beasley would have been great.

They say Godwin is that guy but he's different. He's more of an intermediate guy.
Beasley knew that once Gage and Jones were healthy he wouldn't sniff the field

This would be the steepest mountain he’d be climbing. Reminds me so much of the 2009 Patriots but they’ll probably actually win their first game.
I'm expecting Bucs to win their 1st game and have no expectations after. But having Jensen back could be huge. Now maybe the can have some success with those 3 and 1 and 4th and 1 situations.

I figure as much. But I do miss those quick strikes to Edelman and Welker before that.

Oh, so same old same old of rotating carousel on the offensive line.
They better be ready to pull Goedeke out quickly if he starts out bad and put in Hainsey irregardless of hamstring strain.

If they had a real OC and a quick twitch receiver who can make them pay inside they could make this OL work with that clown that's about to step into LG. Now I expect alot of Lenny and short dump offs with the usual garbage screens to Godwin to try and protect Brady from Parsons and Co. Hopefully they run the ball somehow and stay in 3rd and short.

With Jensen you would think the running offense will improve. We shall see

If Wirfs didn’t get hurt and AB psychologically held it together for two more months I have little doubt that the Bucs win the Super Bowl last year. Those two players not being there for the Rams game was everything. Wirfs on the line buys Brady a half second more and AB would be the quick strike receiver to go to when the Rams pressured.

Apparently the injury was multiple ligaments including the ACL being partially torn. Incredible he'll play.

Maybe Gage can be that quick strike receiver. This is the healthiest he's been all year and it's starting to show with the amount of targets and TDs he's been getting the last few games.

The same can be said about Godwin.

Julio Jones is still a mystery to me. I think he still has it him to have a big game. Likely not this game, but if there is a next game I think he's due to ball out.

Brady needs to ignore his terrible staff and call his own plays today.

If Gage could read leverage and play option routes they would of done it already. The Bucs have 3 receivers that basically are made for 2 and 3rd level throws and a good OL or a QB who can move the pocket and buy time.

Bucs are likely to have their top three corners (Davis, Dean, SMB) and top three safeties (Winfield, Edwards, Ryan) all healthy and available together tonight for the first time since Week 4. Those six have missed a combined 27 games, all sidelined at least four except Dean (2).

“I don’t think anyone will understand the strain it is for the quarterback or the face of the franchise to fight through all that stuff.” — Bucs QB coach Clyde Christensen. Tom Brady believes he can drag Bucs across finish line to another Super Bowl

Great insight from Rick talking with Clyde. Love this line: “You can’t convince him we’re not going to win the Super Bowl.” There is so much Tom Brady brings to an organization, but mentality has to be at the top of the list. twitter.com/nflstroud/stat…

Factoid of the Day: A win tonight would be the #Bucs’ sixth postseason triumph of the Tom Brady era, equaling the franchise’s playoff win total prior to Brady’s arrival.
