should get clarification today or latest tomorrow:

The way this hurts the Pats is that Cinci was probably gonna beat the Bills and get that #2 seed, so if we get in thru the back door, our playoff game would have been at Cinci. The odds now are that Buffalo gets the 2 seed.

But, if we can knock off the Bills Sunday, we'll be playing at Cinci next week.

The Pats have some good players, but they just ain’t good enough to win playing ugly.

Like Parcells said, “You are What your record is”

8-8

But hey, we got a puncher’s chance….LFG!!!
I would like to think they have a punchers chance, but I have a feeling this is gonna be an azzkicking. I guess the best hope is that the Pats are suddenly well coached and the better prepared team, while the Bills are either unprepared (unlikely) or too high emotionally (very possible). I think Mac would need to have a career best (so far) game to have the Patriots play at the level the Bills are capable of this Sunday. I am not optimistic that Fatt Matt is going to be able to give Mac that opportunity. More than likely they'll be even more conservative on offense to not have Hamlin's secondary mates be the difference in this game. The defense is going to have to be unconscious out of their minds good to carry the offense in this one.

I wish I had more faith in the coaching on this one, bud. Matt Patricia sucks and he's not up to the challenge. I think the players can play, but the game plan needs to be wide eff'n open, and the offensive staff just doesn't have the sack. Unless Fat Matt suddenly gives his balls a tug, his conservative approach is going to doom them Sunday.

Man, having jon jones, mills, and marcus all active would be a major lift. And barmore finally back in 2021 form. I dont think we’ve been this healthy since September

Still nothing on 506 Sports in regards to 12/8 CBS televised games.

12/7 8:15 ET Tenn @ Jax
12/8 1:00 Cleveland @ Pitt

FOX EARLY
12/8 1:00 NYJ @ Miami
I think everyone was waiting to see if the Pats-Bills game was going to be played. It seems a lot more certain now than it was two days ago.

So if somehow the Chiefs win and the Patriots win on Sunday, the Patriots would have to play a second consecutive game in Buffalo (now a playoff game) against a team that they just upset one week ago at the Bills home, following onto the Hamlin tragedy.
So, in this scenario, for Pats to advance to the AFC semifinal game they would have to beat Buffalo twice in consecutive weeks in Buffalo with one of the worst offenses in the league against one of the best defenses in the league

It's just not going to happen. We all can root and hope...but....usually performance during 16 of 17 previous games is a good indicator for the 17th.
This is not true. It depends on the bengals ravens game. If bengals win, we’d be playing the bengals. If ravens win, we’d be playing the bills.

You know, we're as healthy right now as we've been in a long time, only missing Jack Jones, Wynn, and I guess Bailey. All our offensive weapons are ready to go. This is not a must-win for Buffalo, and it is for us. We've played OK the past month, and should be on a 4-game win streak with any breaks at all. I see us playing our best game of the year Sunday and upsetting the Bills.

I see Bills by double digits but at least it shouldn't be the complete beatdown that the wild card game last January was. I don't think Mac is a great cold weather guy and it won't be that cold this time. The Patriots defense is good and they're starting to play well at the right time, last year's defense was regressing at the wrong time. Yeah they haven't won against good teams but I liked that they held the Bengals to 22 and shut them out in a half. If I had more faith in the offense I'd say we'd have a really good shot at an upset.

The Bills can also have letdown games... Zach Wilson beat them and so did the Dolphins earlier in the year. I also don't think McDermott will allow his team to get too high for this game and risk a letdown in the wildcard round.

Look, in a 2008 situation where the Pats went 11-5 but missed the playoffs we got f.ucked by a once in a generation fluke. No two ways about it. And yes there are divisions that are won by .500 teams that get in the playoffs. But as a .500 team you really can’t complain if things don’t bounce your way standings wise. Sorry.
If enough of the right teams lost this week then we could have multiple playoff teams with below .500 records.

Teams should have to earn the right to play in the playoffs. As it stands now you only have to have a better record than 3 other teams to win a "division" and make it to the playoffs, and your record can be worse than teams that aren't in the playoffs, even if you played them and lost. That's pretty lame.

As long as the Pats have a decent defense anything can happen. They can win in spite of Patricia.

im not too confident in either places

Points spread is going haywire.

Pats + 8.5 or Bills - 6.5

This is not true. It depends on the bengals ravens game. If bengals win, we’d be playing the bengals. If ravens win, we’d be playing the bills.
Thank you for correction.
Chiefs, Ravens and Pats would have to all win on Sunday.

The defense is very good, but I have a feeling the Bills will own the day.

Then the pats should win on Sunday. Problem solved.

I hope you're right, but the Hamlin situation will have the Bills playing out of their minds I feel

It just may fuel them to their first Super Bowl…
