Yea never mind, only Buffalo controlled their destiny. I forgot Cincy also needed KC to lose.If the Bills and Chiefs won out, they would be both be 14-3 with Buffalo getting the tie breaker. However, Cincy currently sits at 11-4 and if they won out they would be 13-4 at best. So the only team that controlled its own destiny was Buffalo. KC and Cincy weren't in position to get the 1 seed without help.
Josh Allen, Sean McDermott say Bills will be ready to play on Sunday against the Patriots
The Bills will be ready to play the Patriots on Sunday, just six days after seeing one of their teammates taken off the field in an ambulance.profootballtalk.nbcsports.com
Hamlin asked the Bills to play for him
This is not gonna be easy at all. We will get their best shot, a fired up crowd. A tough hill
Why? What happened? What did I miss?Probably never.
Then if by the grace of God we win it'll be all like "well sure, kicked a great team while they're still not right."Josh Allen, Sean McDermott say Bills will be ready to play on Sunday against the Patriots

The other benefit of the #2 seed for Buffalo is their wild card opponent. With the 7-team format intact, as the #2 seed they're playing NWE, MIA or PIT (or remotely JAX). With the #3 seed they're probably playing Baltimore with Lamar presumably back.
Oh the media is going to be shoving this down our throats from here until (if) Buffalo is eliminated. It is going to get pretty sickening. It's one extreme to the other. There was talk of Buffalo being too traumatized to play this weekend, or the weekend after that, or until who knows when. Now all of the sudden they're going to destroy their next opponent in 3 days because they're riding an "emotional onslaught!"
Bryant had his best game in a while on Sunday though….This is an opportunity for the pats . Imagine a win on this stage against this team to seal your ticket to the playoffs. I kinda start to get pumped up and then i see visions of myles bryant falling flat on his face in coverage.

Gets another shot to prove his mettle against a significant upgrade from Skylar Thompson or Teddy Bridgewater.Bryant had his best game in a while on Sunday though….
F*ck KC. Anyway, they're the ones that benefit by cancelling the game since it clears path for #1 seed that gives them HFA.The link I shared indicated that both the NFC and AFC would have 8 playoff teams. You are right it would be unfair to KC.
I forgot about the ref factor. Ugh.Hmm... if they play this game, there'll be a lot for the Pats to overcome besides their own shortcomings.
On the Road
Rallying cry
Every call will probably be for the Bills
Calm cool weather for JA
Dolphins, Steelers, and Titans all losing might be better odds. Still got a shot either way.
Wonder if this is the week we’ll see some trick plays or something ballsy like an onsides kick
I would think they would position it as "exceptional circumstances." Not anyone else's fault that this happened but also not Buffalo and Cincinnati's fault that they went through this. So the rest of the league does them a solid by dumping the #1 seed bye and adding a wild card team, the Buffalo-Cincinnati game is canceled, Cincinnati takes one on the chin by probably being the lower seed than Buffalo even though they were on track to win that game and pass Buffalo in the seeding, and on we go.No way do they expand to 8 teams in each conference. That would be way unfair, especially, to the #1 seed in the NFC.
