Easy solution. Blame both of them. The real annoying thing is the OL is starting to come around and pretty much my only hope for the year was that Patricia and Mac would perform a minimal level of NFL caliber with a more functional OL. That didn't happen.

I don't know if Patricia necessarily called a good game vs OAK but the week before Mac complained about lack of down field passing. Patricia opened it up for him and he missed throw after throw. Even some of the drops and out of bounds Agholar catch were just bad throws too.

Personally I blame the players more but I'm way past caring about either they both get blame and short of a miracle the next few weeks I lean toward massive offensive changes especially coach and Q. I hope Mac does something in the next few weeks to make us think there is still hope but having possibly his worst start in a game where I thought the OL, Coaching, and recievers all upped their games leaves me disheartened.

In weird way I actually still think Patricia could have worked if the players were more patient with him but I'm long past the point of thinking a second year of him makes any sense. Can't double down.
Wow, that Raiders loss really did a number on you. You've completely changed your tune. Welcome to the dark side.

I don't know where you're seeing this, I just haven't seen all the comments you're making. Brown isn't about the offense anyway but about a position switch. They could be running with McDaniels and he could still make the same comment
I don't really know how much more clearer I can be.. we all see it.. where had 14 weeks of a dysfunctional offense is all I'm saying..

Dude, your takes suck. If BUF wins out they get the #1 seed. If they lose a game, they'll be fighting CIN for the #2 seed. If you don't think there's any difference between the #2 and #3 seed, I don't know what to tell you.
My friend I think your getting me confused I was discussing a scenario.. that's all.. anything can change.. does that explain things to help u better understand.. I understand Buffalo is the number 1 seed.. does that make u feel better?

That's very different than players rebelling against the plan. It's not the same thing. Like I said, I understand Mac and Bourne have pushed back. We all know that.

Huh? BUF is the #1 seed. CIN is currently #3 but they could go from #2 to #5. They haven't even secured a playoff spot. Nobody is resting.
IM REFERRING TO A SCENARIO!!!!!!!!!! If they all won out.. relax your mind...

super concerning about the Trent Brown tweet though. That doesn't sit well with 3 of their toughest games to finish the season.
But, let's stop the stupid Brady-reunion talk, it ain't gonna happen!
However, depending how these last 3 games go - Jimmy G could be a realistic thing.

That was a brutal loss took more than a day but I've settled back down. For instance I still think of the price is right I want Meyers back for obvious reasons I was ready to let him walk.

I still feel the Patricia thing could have actually worked. There was a lack of bye in early but I think things had settled heading into week 1 and had all the injuries not happened who knows but somewhere along the way the wheels fell off. Short of some offensive explosion in the next few weeks I think you have to start over with the coaches.

I don't like the idea of letting the players off the hook and just axing Patricia so pretty much anything is on the table for me including moving on from Mac.

And I definitely wouldn't say I'm on the dark side as think BB is still the best option to fix this. Bill just needs to fix the Offensive tackles, and decide who was part of the lack of bye in and replace them even if that's Mac.

I think it's all fixable we just need to get some luck at Q either Mac develops, some vet comes and lightning strikes, or we draft some one new. The Q is not easy to find.

Ok back to Cincinnati.

Common opponents: both teams have 3 games left with common opponents incl. this one.

Pats 4-3 (beat PIT, CLE, NYJx2)
Bengals 4-3 (beat PIT, CLE, NYJ, MIA)

Bengals record when scoring <=20 pts: 0-4
Pats record when opponents score <20 pts: 7-0

There's a chance!

Cincinnati will have as much fun toying with us as Buffalo when Myles Space Bryant and Jahlani Slow Feet Tavai are in. Joe Jaw Breaker Mixon in for the swing pass.

Watch Burrow do what Brady did so well: look off the defense. A real difficult test for Kyle Dugger. Come crashing in for run support, which he excels at? Or stay back to support the intermediate and deep pass? He will likely be indecisive at times. That will negate his elite physicality.

Ja’Marr Chase is another elite WR that will occupy probably two guys. Maybe Marcus Jones and Devin McCourty. It sure would be nice having a younger McCourty. He’s definitely not the player he once was. Slower.

Chase and Burrow have that connection many of us haven’t seen since Brady/Moss. They’re that good. And they have a top tier OC. The opposite of what we have. Brian Callahan is someone Jonathan Kraft will ask to himself, “Why can’t we have a guy like that here in NE?”

The Bengals have one of the most respected OL coaches in the league. Almost on Dante’s level.

Frank Pollack was in Dallas when they were elite on the line, 2013-2017. And their assistant OL coach is good, too, having taught Logan Mankins at Fresno State.

Tough challenge with the front seven.

A Patriots victory would shock the sports world.

The next two games could get really UGLY for us.

The Bengals have an explosive offense and a bona fide stud in Ja'Marr Chase. We know how the Patriots offense struggles to score TDs instead of FGs. If we go down by 2 scores, it's going to be game over.

Miami meanwhile has two explosive WRs in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. How do you defend against both of those at the same time? We could easily get embarrassed in this game, and that would put the Patriots squarely in the basement of the AFCE.

You can say goodbye to the playoffs if we lose the next two games. :poop:

This is huge.

Mac's repeated gesturing and yelling has enabled others on this team and now the inmates run the asylum. Looks like he hasnt controlled his innner mcenroe yet

Dueling coaches sons:

Steve Belichick, the Patriots de facto DC, versus the Bengals OC Brian Callahan, son of the Raiders coach from 81-83. East coast v. West coast.

One of them is uglier than the other. Mullet versus California cool.

I’m surprised Mike Reiss hasn’t done something with this angle.

Come on, Mike!

i am just aghast how they have shown up especially after the buffalo game. A team worth its salt like previous pats teams wouldve come out with fire . are
After the Bills game, we got the win in AZ 27-13. It wasn't pretty but Uche took over the game in the 2nd half. Against the potent Raiders offense, we held them in check most of the game and should have won if not for that horrible end of game call. I get it, our offense is inept. We don't have the most talent. We are usually in every game though. We are better prepared than any other team and should have a chance to win most weeks.

We need more talent this offseason and with our cap room and our last 3 great drafts, I think we will be improved next year. With a new OC leading our offense, I think we have a lot to look forward to.

Happy Wednesday to all and to all a great day!!!!!! Getting you ready for today's activities:

Terez Hall is a fine guy to have on the practice squad, he’s been elevated before and not looked totally lost. Made a couple plays.

The big difference that stands out is the Bengals defense has very few sacks, 22 to our 48.

But they’re still effective. At least lately.
