He's a not-so-great QB who, paired with a good coordinator/coach, is playing better football with fewer interceptions and has his team in playoff contention. I would have mentioned Lawrence, but given the physical edge he has, I figured I'd point out a lesser QB to make a point.Quite possibly the worst example to support your thesis
Just noting that Daniel Jones, who isn't exactly a star QB has seen a notable improvement with a better coach:
I know a lot of people say players win games, coaches don't - and while true - coaches do matter and can make/break a QB.
LOL, not saying that - but this giant step backward certainly shouldn't help his resume. Is your thesis, Joe Judge is a QB killer?
that is the big question...can he admit his mistake and just move Matt and Joe to a corner office somewhere. BB is stubborn as hell so we will see if he can do the right thing in the offseason. the right thing to do, and it would show the players he has their back, would be to fire Matt and Joe today. They are note winning anymore games this year anyway.I usually trust BB but I think he was trying to out think himself this year trying to be ahead of what he thinks is coming and this time was wrong.
I just hope he can admit it and fix it for next year and he has hinted at it
LOL, that's all you got? He completed 13 passes out of 31. He was 5-of-16 in the second half. It was an absolutely terrible outing.Which coach taught Mac not to throw to a wide open receiver and instead throw it to the flat in front of 2 defenders? Was that Patricia in his ear during the play? Enough with these excuses.
I dunno, Ian. Not sure Daniel Jones is the best example but your point is accurate one. There are some coaches who are great at game-planning, scheming and providing QBs with a framework to be successful. The Shanahan boys come to mind.Just noting that Daniel Jones, who isn't exactly a star QB has seen a notable improvement with a better coach:

OK, I don't get how people can't look at what Daniel Jones has done under Brian Daboll and see the difference. I mean, look also what Daboll did with Josh Allen. It definitely makes a difference.I dunno, Ian. Not sure Daniel Jones is the best example but your point is accurate one. It does, but like I just posted, look at Allen with Daboll. Another reasonably good example.Talent also matters. After year 2 a lot of people in Buffalo were ready to give up on Allen. Then they got Diggs and he came into his own with a big safety net, and then that was all she wrote
I’ll say it, yes. Yes he is.Is your thesis, Joe Judge is a QB killer?
It was Meyers standing uncovered at the 2 yard line.Which coach taught Mac not to throw to a wide open receiver and instead throw it to the flat in front of 2 defenders? Was that Patricia in his ear during the play? Enough with these excuses.
There is hardly change comparing 2020 to 2022.Just noting that Daniel Jones, who isn't exactly a star QB has seen a notable improvement with a better coach:

I don't want to split hairs but Jones was decent in 2019 as well....which also coincides when he had a 100% healthy Sasqan Barkley.OK, I don't get how people can't look at what Daniel Jones has done under Brian Daboll and see the difference.
