I want Uche to finish strong and be a difference maker!!! If he can finish with double digit sacks, that would do wonders for his confidence heading into next season!!!!!!

He had a little of this in college though. Michigan used him inside at times and he showed some decent pop and power. Just a little ticked it took this long for us to "unleash Uche" as a smart man once said.

When you're getting to the QB like he's been doing, he's going to see the field more often. I think on 1st down, we've been playing more of Jennings. Our run defense has been a big improvement this year as compared to last year.

If Barmore can come back healthy and back to form, he Judon and Uche will be a damn good trio of rushers.

Someone else pointed this out in another thread (or maybe this one?) but Uche was part of the last draft before Groh took over. That draft included Dugger, Uche, and Onwenu, which three potential pro-bowl caliber players from one draft. Groh is getting a lot of credit (and rightfully so) for the draft success the last two years, but that's not a bad haul either.

I think they have also stopped asking him to set the edge and play the run and drop back in coverage and they're finally letting him do what he's good at and he is flourishing in that role.

Definitely get some of those high powered Teams in a defensive slug fest and you'll see how tight everything gets.

The Captain has never acknowledged a mistake I'm sure he'll continue to insist that Uche was chosen far too soon in the draft.

That Ekuale is really emerging seems better than Gawd and this is with Barmore out Hmmmm.

He definitely flashed last night. He's a different type of player than God, who is more of a run stuffing DT, where Ekuale is more of an interior pass rushing DT.

A d-line of Judon, Barmore, Ekuale and Uche against the Raiders O-line should be able to generate a ton of pressure. Hoping Barmore is able to go!!!
