Game Day Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Jets

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

This. I'm critical of Mac, but people need to stop ignoring the holding penalties and inconsistent playcalling/play design. It's not helping.

I actually thought Mac wasn't bad today. Wasn't that good, took some bad sacks and probably should been able to do more given the field position, but it's not all on him. Some drops. No real bad pass I remember.

I thought Jones was decent today. I'd give him a "B"ish range. Yes, he did hold onto the ball on one or two of the sacks. But I think the red zone problems are to do with the play calling more than Jones.

An ugly win is better than a pretty loss any day. Reading some of these comments , one would think we lost. Yes we have a lot of things to work on but we are still 6-4 and I will take that all day over below .500. People should be more positive in this thread and be happy we won no matter how it happened !!!

I thought Mac played well today. He was under duress all game and the play calling was atrocious. Could he have thrown away the ball a few times? Sure, but he was fighting through a **** situation all game. Matty P’s special is making a 3rd and long. I bet you Saleh would be much happier having Mac on that team instead of Wilson.

The two missed field goals are not Mac's fault.

The Jets' DL is >>> than our OL in its currently depleted state (or even if everyone was healthy). Very few QB's can cope with quick pressure up the middle like Mac saw on many plays, nor with first-and-20 like he often saw after the holds. The play-calling was conservative - but that is sensible given how well our defense was doing.

Josh Allen threw 2 picks against this defense.

Not sure how people can say this is macs fault. No turnovers was 23/27. And his line was getting blown up in 3 seconds. Run game was a struggle as well.

How many runs up the middle for a loss, followed by a sweep for a loss followed by a 3rd and 10. Patricia's playcalling is so predictable

The whole offense is a problem, the OL is bad the QB is bad and his confidence looks shot, the weapons are overpaid and underperforming, the playcalling is worse than the rest of it.

The whole thing needs looked at in the off season starting with the coaching, when one part of the O has a good day it's undermined by the others they're reshuffling deck chairs on the titanic at the minute.

It's not going to get much better this season it's going to just be getting to be getting as many wins as possible to put some lipstick on that pig because this team is going nowhere in 2022, it's ceiling is wildcard round loss.
After reading this post, you'd never know we won today.

Enjjoy the win!!!

What's crazy is that Vinny Curry is still in the NFL. I saw the name Curry today and thought "there's no way that's Vinny".

True.
Bad conditions, going against a great defense, offensive line not up to par…and the kid completes virtually every pass… And does not turn the ball over.
Great game.

I think that's a fair assessment. I thought when he had time, he made some good throws. I also think he held onto the ball too long on a few occasions. His numbers were good, kind of misleading, but he threw the ball well when given the opportunity.

It's become ridiculous

He clearly wants Flacco..

"Games we should win."

The Jets whole problem is that they disrespected the Patriots last game and said they were better and deserved the win.

They don't understand what is going on out there. They can't comprehend it.

This is a loser's mentality, which gos without saying

Often he held the ball too long and took a sack. Some of that is the Oline and some is him. He needs to be more aware of pressure and throw it away. We would have had one or more TD's if he threw the ball away instead of continuously losing yards with sacks.

This idea that you should throw the ball away when you're in the pocket and about to get sacked always neglects the obvious: where are you going to throw it? You risk intentional grounding (which Wilson should've been flagged for in the end zone).

It starts with Wilson. He's an entitled, arrogant punk who sucks as an NFL QB.
