Again, not what I said. The gap between the two is such that the only conclusion can be Mac is SO far inferior that he cannot be a consistent winner. Mediocrities are to be measured by their DISTANCE from the best. The distance in this case is clearly insurmountable. Watching Tom again made this painfully clear. Give it a try when your revery fades.
I really have no idea what you're saying here.

The distance is insurmountable, yes everyone agrees. Because we never expected Mac to become the next Brady. The distance was insurmountable the day that 1,000 NFL QBs were born.

I'm not sure what you expected.

He won the game in the crucial moments. Our hopes now extend only to "keep the int's down." or "He didn't look TOO scared this week."
They're 4-5 in a pretty weak division.

The Colts punter seemed to have trouble with it.
One of Nick's kicks did swerve wildly though. I thought it was not going to make it

Ok so how to sum up this game?

The defense was outstanding again, holding the Colts to just 3 points. Matt Judon showed us why he is an absolute monster, Terrorizing poor Colts QB Ehlinger with 3 sacks and 5 pressures.

Jonathan Jones grabbed a pick SIX against Ehlinger, inflating the score to 26-3, but our actual 'offensive' output a paltry 19 points.

Our kicker Nick Folk was again our offensive MVP, nailing 4 field goals.

Our special teams blocked a kick leading to a 5 yard TD drive for the offense.

Our actual offense though? OOF.

Mac Jones under 150 yards passing. 3rd down conversion rate 6/17 for a paltry 35.3% success rate.
Total combined offense passing and rushing under 210 yards.

Somebody please take Matt Patricia out to the backyard and SHOOT him now.

Old Yeller doesn't have what it takes and he needs to be put out of his misery.

Next year we need to HIRE a real OC. Retool our offensive weapons and offensive line. Draft more defensive studs and linebackers, because this team right now... it ONLY WINS when the Defense and special teams win the day.

I know BB wants to give Mac Jones a chance because of a perceived 'higher upside'. But Mac has FAILED to deliver again and again. This offense blows and can't score touchdowns. Against good teams, where the offense will be required to score points to win, we're going to lose and it's not gonna be close.

Bailey Zappe is waiting. Mac better be looking over his shoulder, because when you put out this many consecutive stinkers, it's time to go back to the drawing board and come up with something or someone better.

You know there's a saying that goes, "INSANITY is repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." That sums up the Patriots "offense" right now.

Can't even tell what you're disagreeing with.

Perpetual Thornton second guessing?

What?

Are you off your meds?
No...YOU are doing what you always do, win or lose...you pick a single incident that YOU think should have gone differently and then you proceed to beat it to death. The issue of meds is squarely in YOUR corner...or you're drinking too much Sterno up there...

I am vigorously tearing up the sofa!

I thought they won today?

What a terrible game. The offensive line is awful. Does BB want to do more than make the playoffs.
Must feel sorry for Mac Jones even worse for Bailey Zappe

They ****ing won. Jesus.

A terrible game was vs CHI
A point, my bad, The quality of the win was pathetic. That's not the Patriots I want or am use to. You do make a point.

Even the greatest QB in history looks scared and tries to keep the ints down when the OL does not give him time and the WRs drop passess. It is no coincidence that TB12 was able to score when the OL started to play better. It is not complicated. Please, please, please join the Tampa forum. Enough already with this crap.
