Zappe should work on throwing past an NFL defensive line first
He isn't the shortest qb to ever play and it wasn't an issue besides the Bear game.

All anybody has to do is watch the 0 line play to know that they are not very good, or even middle of the pack. But i will say they played better than indys line today
Why is Zappe passing for 300 yard games with that oline then?

I hate to admit it, but I'm closer to admitting Mac is a big part of the problem. Not that he can't do it, but something really changed him, and I think it's the coaches playing those mind games. He's very unsure, he doesn't see the 2nd, 3rd read... BUT, it's as much on the OL and play-calling as it is Mac. This must have been the worst game Matty P has called. Horrendous! No rhythm, NO creativity, and ZERO intrigue. The pattern of calls is the same rotation EVERY possession. It's not even worthy of a NFL field. I was predicting every series of plays. If BB wants any shred of respect of his tired cliche's he needs to change play-calling duties on the bye.

I think we need to get rid of Matt so that we can responsibly confirm our suspicions that Mac just might not be good enough. Or..just possibly...Matt may really be THAT bad, so that Mac really is better than he has looked.

My final guess: neither Mac nor Zappe is good enough. But I do think Zappe deserves a full shot, based on the facts this year.

I'm not sure why we're doing this at all since the offensive line out there for a couple weeks had a bunch of guys playing because of injuries. Ferentz, Cannon, Cajuste. Why look back for rankings when the OL last 2 weeks is so full of band-aids. This is like me judging JJ Taylor based on what Rham has done
Because he wants to prove hes right. I don't know where the pats o line ranks, but i know that its not better than half of the teams out there at the moment

Stevenson should have had another receiving TD and Thornton should have had 1 as well. Jones just sailed the ball over both of them.

I will say though that colts defense held the chiefs to 17 points so it wasn't like it was the lions d or something

"Rah Rah Ree, kick 'em in the knee..."

Sorry, just felt like typing it.

I'm the only one bringing any real evidence to the table. You're saying you can see it. Why should anyone care about what you think? How much film of the oline have you watched?

A lot of negativity in this thread, so how about this: the 2020 draft is starting to look really good. Onwenu and Dugger were already hits, but Uche and Jennings have played pretty well this year. Sometimes it just takes time for players to adjust to the NFL and find roles that suit them; that looks like what happened with the latter 2. Uche’s best day as a pro today.

I agree, but not in the middle of the season. Jones is not very good at the moment, he doesn't look or play like he did last year. But i don't think he forgot how to play qb, i think having fat matt and a terrible o-line has something to do with it.

Mac's accuracy has been atrocious
