Kicking was 1000 times harder back then. Outdoors, mud, regular shoes, game balls.
Malcolm Mitchell is a name I haven’t heard in a while. What could have been if not for injuries. He was a huge part of that come back against the Falcons and put two myths to bed: Brady doesn’t trust rookies and BB can’t draft WRs.Edelman is not system. Amendola is not system . Gronk is not system .
Hogan had 2 fab years . Mitchell before injury was phenomenal. So we actually had a great receiving core with great third down back in white , woodhead and burkhead. So we really had good talent for majority of Brady's prime with moss and welker providing spark in initial years after the 2004 period.
Meyers is a good player in Edelman mould. We would be stupid to let him go. He will produce 800-1000 yards averaging 4-7 TD a year for any organization. You want those dependable guys.
Yep, and it's an absolute ****ing Disgrace that kickers are allowed to use different footballs than everybody else... That would be like allowing different basketballs for free throws, and different hockey pucks for man-advantage or penalty shot/shoot-out situations...
Eliminate the K-Balls!
A big question entering the Colts game:
or strange at C if Andrews is still out, because he can't be much worse than FerentzI find that very odd personally. Why put Wynn at left guard when you drafted Strange in the first round? What does Strange do, go to right guard? Do you then put Onwenu out at right tackle?
I was thinking perhaps they'd try Wynn at LT and put Brown at RT, since Wynn is a much better LT than RT but he isn't that great overall. And the other issue is then your left side of your line is a rookie in Strange who has been slightly up-and-down and an average-at-best Wynn. Not sure I love that.
So perhaps, if Strange can play right guard, putting Wynn in at left guard where he feels more comfortable facing that direction (just like Onwenu has shown to be far more comfortable facing right) and then putting Onwenu at right tackle might give you the best combo overall with the best talent on the field.
I think they're going to try that. They need to fix their tackle situation and there aren't any better tackles walking through the door, so it's worth a try to see if Onwenu out at RT makes the most sense. Plus, I think they feel more comfortable about their backup guards. So perhaps, if Strange can play right guard, putting Wynn in at left guard where he feels more comfortable facing that direction (just like Onwenu has shown to be far more comfortable facing right) and then putting Onwenu at right tackle might give you the best combo overall with the best talent on the field.
It's going to be a very interesting decision. Onwenu has been really good at RG, do we move him to RT, where he would be our best option at that position. Did Cole Strange get benched because Andrews wasn't at Center, working next to him? Do we leave Cannon at RT for now and maybe test Cajuste or as you mentioned do we dare move Strange to another position? Fascinating questions!!!I find that very odd personally. Detroit and Carolina may be thinking the same thing.Colts on the tank to get Shroud or Young?
Would be real interesting if Wynn turned it around at LG his stocky built is much suited for the position. IF he grades out well in the second half he could make himself some money.I find that very odd personally. Why put Wynn at left guard when you drafted Strange in the first round? One thing I know, I'd rather not see Ferentz playing Center another week.
lol, you know he's not my favorite and I think he's a little overrated, but compared to Ferentz, he looks pretty good. lolBoy I know you miss Andrews.
