NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

This new NFL Teams can literally load up and buy a Championship. The Rams did it last year and other Teams are copying.
Well they can only do it one at a time. So others better hope they aren't hurting their future chances too much.

It worked for the Rams but they built it up first then after they lost one they got even more aggressive. IMO probably a little too much so but it worked and I do applaud them for it I am not so sure it's as replicable as it would seem.

It only works when you've already built a solid base. At that point you can spend future picks on stars to put you over the hump; you end up essentially putting past, present, and future (draft) capital on the field at the same time. Need to have a strong team first though or you end up like the Chargers or Raiders as catastrophic poster boys of when going all-in backfires.

Except Claypool might be 23 or 24 Sanu was in the twilight of his career.
Claypool is long fast and tall.
It’s a good move for the Bears but Pickens is the player everyone missed on it he can behave himself.
IF it wasn't for Pickens the Steelers don't make that move with Claypool. I am sure you know who I wanted last Draft yeah I like the T Thornton pick but not as much as George Pickens. IF I was BB I would have made the move for Claypool he's still on his Rookie contract he wasn't breaking the bank and he's proven. Knowing we are not particularly good at Drafting them: when guys like this becomes available you jump on it even if it's for a one year rental.

The problem with that model is that it is risky and mortgages the future. When multiple teams load up in the same season, only one can be successful.

I understand but the talent level last year in the Super Bowl from the Rams to the Bengals was telling you know they weren't going to beat them.

Mike Florio said on his radio show this morning that he heard “the Pats were in it until the end for Claypool”.

Based on our history of Trading for WR's it seems like a move BB would make it's basically nothing against our cap. We are not exactly lucky when we try to Draft and develop them.

We should of traded for Smith.
We have pieces of that wasted Denver Defense some moons ago in our Division now in Miller and Chubb. Imagine if we had pursued Miller hard in FA him and Judon that's as good as it gets for pass rushers poor Mac.

Yep, crickets outta Foxborough... Not surprising but still unfortunate... Little Billy & the New Minions still haven't brought anyone of any significance whatsoever into the building since LJ Humphrey in June, if even that one counts... Not really the sign of an organization that honestly considers itself an actual contender...

Why would von want to play for us when he can sign with a Super Bowl contender for more money than what Bill would offer him?

Or baked... Trust me... You end-up with a shopping bag of cookies and no produce, and don't remember even buying the cookies......

I always end up with lots of frozen foods that look amazing on the box. Like, "Hell yeah, I bet TGI Fridays frozen mozz sticks are great!"

Still, that does not mean that the Patriots were proverbially ‘asleep at the wheel’ during the days and hours leading up to Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline.

"We're always looking to improve,” Belichick added. “We added a couple of practice squad players. It would be hard for me to say there won't be any roster moves between now and the end of the year."

The practice squad players to which Belichick referred are rookie offensive lineman Hayden Howerton and veteran punter Michael Palardy. Though each filled needs within the roster, neither can be considered ‘needle-movers’ for New England’s pursuit of a playoff spot.

Chess vs checkers.
