That sums it up.What a roller coater. First part of the first half was Mac sucks. Second part was Zapee as savior. And the second half was ugh! We couldn't stop the run, Fields was too elusive and our OL didn't give Zappe much time. What a dissapointment.
We’re on year 3 of the rebuild and still very far off. That game should go a LONG way towards show everyone that this team is really, really far away.
Bill is going to have to rehaul a good chunk of this team in the off-season and if we get returns on those players closer to Judon as opposed to Smith/Aggy then maybe it can be done in a single off season.
I'm going to save my hysteria for if / when the Jets beat us. That was ghastly. Its not like we haven't had issues with penalties all season either.
This doesn't feel like us right now.
All things end. Nevertheless, its still painful when they do.
Zappe at 6'1" showed that he is going to have lots of problems avoiding tipped balls from oncoming lineman who are taller with a bigger reach. -he has got to learn to scramble and get out of harms way..or shall I say arms wayBad news: Patriots lost, badly
Good news: Zappe fever is gone
It's not going to happen. We are not those Patriots anymore and honestly haven't been since our last superbowl. Even on Brady's final season with the Pats, we beat on really bad teams and ended on a terrible note. The Pats were putrid in all three phases of the game. We had games like this with Brady and many times it sparked the team to go on a big run. I am not as hopeful right now, but maybe it will be a wake up call.
I am worried the Bears have exposed the weakness in Zappe’s game and just have front four stay in the passing lanes and get their hands up. And Jones looks to have lost his confidence. I still think Jones is the better QB, but may be broken. So I am worried that neither guy is the answer.
Jones is better QB you say the opposing Defense thinks so too.The Pats were putrid in all three phases of the game. We had games like this with Brady and many times it sparked the team to go on a big run. I am not as hopeful right now, but maybe it will be a wake up call.

Most Round Table pizza is. Someone is a west coasterRound Table pizza I ordered was bad
Recent teams have no heart and mediocre talent, recipe for disaster. It's not going to happen. We are not those Patriots anymore and honestly haven't been since our last superbowl. Even on Brady's final season with the Pats, we beat on really bad teams and ended on a terrible note.
We now have years of data that tells me this is no longer those Patriots.
the only 'must' about next weeks game is to avoid being in the basement and below the Jets by the end of the season....Jets week has suddenly become a must win game
