having a great DE is nice and all, but when you desperately need a QB you’d be stupid not to take two firsts. Unless they know they’ll be getting the first pick. More good news in regards to our 3rd rounder we received from them.

Carolina has probably accepted the fact that they are going to have a top 5-10 pick in 2023, which will put them in position to take one of the top QB prospects, without having to accrue any additional draft assets. If the team who offered the 2 first rounders is a legit Lombardi contender and will likely be picking in the 28-31 range next spring, I can see why Carolina would pass. For a guy like Burns, I’d want a top 15-20 pick.

There are only so many Pass Rushers to go around we would be really lacking if Judon went down for any extended period of time. I think B Chubb is a really good pass rusher who would help us in that regard.

The Patriots currently only have 3 OTs on the Roster. They only O-linemen on the PS are Interior Linemen
Chasen Hines was a G/C in College. Not an OT. Yes, they COULD have Onwenu kick out to RT if needed, but what if Brown were to go down. They wouldn't have a suitable replacement unless they kick Strange out to it.

The more pass rushers we have, the more we can rotate them and keep them fresh by the 4th quarter.

It would have to be the Carolina pick, no? The pats sent their own for Parker and I don’t believe you can trade unawarded comp picks, assuming JC gets them a 3rd.
