Never sure if you are attempting to be funny, it's very hard to hell. However, if you seriously think a Mac led Pats would have lost to Detroit you really need to lay off the hallucinogenic substances.
Hmm, the thread is about rookies. Mac isn't a rookie.

Fair enough However, the Lions did score 0 i.e. didn't take a Hall of Fame QB performance to stop us being 1-4.

If Jack Jones played (nearly) every snap like Strange does, I would be more inclined to go with him, but right now it's Strange.

I’m tempted to give the nod to Strange since he’s been a starter from day one. But I think Jack Jones has played better when he’s gotten his opportunities.

Zappe had no sacks and completed 80% of his throws. The INT hit the NE WR in the hands.

We know that Mac has turned the ball over 6 times in 3 games. 2 more Ints could have been had as well. At the Ravens goal line for a pic 6 and the TD pass that Agahlor took away from the Pitt DB.

Strange. People don’t give any credit to line play.

Zappe is probably next but Jack Jones. Tyquan and Marcus Jones could be dark horses to catch them.
i would have to say its jack jones's position to lose, he has far excelled past expectations

Looks more and more likely we will be seeing if a Jones-led Pats will beat Cleveland.

God help us all if we lose after he throws one or more INTs, this forum will be thick with second guessers.

Josh Allan played like a one armed drunk for 2 years. If you'd been the Bills GM you'd have cut his ass after 2 games.
Nope

Because Josh Alllen did not play in a Pro style offense at Wyoming. He was basically the RB too. Allen had all the raw materials to develop- size, arm, mobility, toughness. All he needed was to be drafted by the right team to reach his potential.

Mac will never be Josh Allen.

So has Strange...

Just to put this in perspective, Cole has started every game this season, he has played 97% of the offensive snaps and almost 17% of special teams snaps.

Jones has started one game, played 53% of the defensive snaps, 9% of special teams snaps.

A lineman is never going to get the love that a skills position player or defender will.

Strange has been worth the high draft pick it took to get him. Suggestions of a "reach" were silly then, worse now.

None of this ^ nonsense changes the fact Allen was considered a bust by the media and Buffalo's fans after two years.

Tom Brady will never be big and strong like Josh Allen either... is he at a disadvantage?

Laughable...

Marcus Jones for now... Strange and Jack Jones have fallen down.

It's Marcus Jones and I don't think it's even that close. Jack Jones is second. Zappe has the best QB start of the season for the Patriots, he's third, but he's also made the most unexpected contributions. Strange, especially considering his draft position, isn't in the running for a top stop. Thornton has been a disappointment and I don't see the potential... to this point he's a bad pick.

Can you add Marcus Jones and Brendan Schooler to the mix. Both are electric .

It's definitely Marcus. Jack a close second. The rest have been ok and the top 2 need to be better than ok but either way looks like the Joneses will make this a great draft class.
