I didn't say I "could care less" (which actually would mean I cared). I said I wasn't pulling for him yet I respect his game as GOAT. But this thread isn't about football, it's about two of the world's richest human beings divorcing each other. That happens to interest me.

OK, the”health issue” in question has been a bit of a headline in football for the last several years. Maybe you’ve heard of it. It’s called CTE. And you get it from concussions. Like a real whole lot of them! And while many here insist Brady never has them, Gisele has come out and said he’s had plenty in the past. So while its not a problem for ME if his brain turns into scrambled eggs, it is to her and I, being a human who can see other people’s POV, can understand this which is why I see her side a lot more than his. I’m not the one posting about ”It‘s his mission! His life’s calling! His manly priority!” nonsense and the picture you posted above of the sniveling dude resembles THAT a heck of a lot more.

I read an interesting quote by Tom yesterday where he said that he doesn’t want his kids to end up like him because there’s a “torment” around him that he wouldn’t wish on them. I assume this is the thing that drives him to continue winning championship after championship and rub it in everyone’s faces. Ten, fifteen years ago that looks like passion and great ambition and it’s very attractive. Fast forward to this point, where even internet trolls have admitted you’re an idiot if you don’t acknowledge him as the GOAT, it just looks like a crazy obsession that a therapist might need to step in on.

Even just one concussion every other season adds up to quite a few. This might explain some of the marriage struggles as well. Maybe Tom has been evaluated as at-risk but is still playing against medical advice.

IMO spouses/couples need to be content and happy with themselves first in order to have a happy and content marriage.

It may not be any more complicated than Brady being a workaholic. Belichick is a workaholic. The country is littered with workaholics. I'd venture to guess the rate of divorce among workaholics is higher than the average population.

Exactly. Both Belichick and Brady are known for their work and preparation obsessions. We’ve known this about them pretty much since the joined the Patriots. Belichick's marriage failed when he was in his 40s. Brady's marriage is failing in his 40s. We've had a lot of discussion in this thread on the toll a dad and husband being absent from family and kids takes on a marriage. I've read that divorce occurs 40% more in marriages where one partner is a workaholic.
