Maybe. But it’s worth noting Giselle did retire from a career she really didn’t need to retire from that was far more lucrative for the family than Tom’s and isn’t putting her health at nearly as much risk. She also moved her family away from where they grew up and took them out of the schools they were going to so her husband could play football somewhere else.
Those are outstanding points. Certainly one parent putting their selfish needs ahead of the spouse and children is a big problem. But it's not like he's Fitzmagic who was an NFL nomad. 2 teams. 2 cities in 13 years?

I think she was done with modeling full time by the time she met Tom
I mean really after he won a title his first year in Tampa, got to 7 and proved he could win without Belichick it was a perfect time to run off in the sunset
Agree.

I just saw a video of Brady in the bathroom and Gisele filming his junk for PUBLIC CONSUMPTION. What kind of woman does sh!t like that to her husband?

Agree.

I think it probably has to do more with the amount of time he's spending away from the family. Gisele has stated repeatedly that she'd like Tom to be more at home and that she's basically raising the kids on their own...I could understand someone wanting to play professional sports past the age of 40 with college age kids, but their kids are still under the age of 15. On top of that, Brady has stated over the past 20 years he has missed weddings, funerals, thanksgivings, christmases, etc. It's possible Bill knew that Tom was going to have a hard time leaving the game and just decided to cut ties with him at 41 before things got worse.

Continuing to do his job, which he's become known as a living legend for (and has only further cemented it with 2020 and 2021 seasons) puts Brady at fault for their divorce? Gisele is justified in wanting him to call it quits? Enough clownish takes. Brady could rescue a family of 5 from a burning car and you'd find a way to criticize it.

Do you not realize what they'd be doing together if he retired? A bunch of vain, purposeless garbage involving red carpet events, movie/TV show appearances, cryptocurrency conferences, and meetings for brand deals/their own products (aka more materialistic trash). They would have several more decades to do all that. The time left for Brady to continue playing as a living legend is 1-3 years. Maybe even 5. The notion that this severely limits time with his family is downright insane.

Brady post-Patriots is making you look bad (along with the team and coach you revere). That's why you want him retired and have turned to hating him with absurd takes,
Yea and football is just the noblest cause one could devote themselves to. Literally chasing a ball around with other men in tights. I understand it cures cancer!

Women aren't putting up with what exactly? Do you mean... making a stupid, borderline evil ultimatum out of a husband's passion (his legendary football career) by pitting it against the stability of his family and saying "pick one or else we get divorced" (effectively what seems to have happened).

Yea, very very sane position. Womxn just can't put up with that!
Please tell me you're joking.

His quote said he’s missed all thanksgivings and christmases and weddings and funerals and birthdays for those born from August to late January every year for 23 years. And his kid with Bridget was born in August and the two with Gisele were both December, so they’re obviously included here.

I think it's hilarious all the anti-Tom people who wouldn't even mention his name in the main forum are suddenly out here giving their opinion.
It's been going on since they cried to have a separate Brady forum, but I think you can mention his name in the main forum if you want to knock him.
It's really Bill that you can't mention there unless you want to fawn over his greatness, especially now that without Brady and all the other talent he let go, he resembles Rex Ryan more than Vince Lombardi.

He should take up a more noble endeavor, like modelling. He'd make a sh!tload more money too.

There are close to 160 Brady threads in the Brady forum...do you think the rest of us want to see those on the main board?

I think about the couples I've known that from the outside looked like they had the perfect marriage, yet end up getting divorced. Then there's those that constantly argue in public that stay together for decades. Who tf knows what goes on inside a couples relationship.

Just yesterday I had a mtg and couldn't find the car keys, called the wife & she had them in her purse while she went for a walk. Waiting on the front s/w talking on the phone with the guy I was to meet with; I see her taking her sweet time walking towards me. I approached her to grab the keys, she reaches out her arm to hand me the keys, drops them on the s/w, turns around & walks away. Still on the phone, I pick up the keys, hit the mute button and yell b*tch! She says, wait till you see what's coming. Later, during the meeting, I get this text from her:

I guess you're saying football comes before your family and children right? It's ok for her to give up her career and stay at home with the kids, but not Tom.

Her actual words were, "More present". That could mean 1000 different things. Mentally? Physically? Spiritually? Is he a "different" Tom now and she wants the old Tom back?

I'm not buying the notion she is raising the kids on her own. He's home spring and most of the summer, they've always lived close to home field and hes had ~10 road trips a year lasting 3 days. I've traveled more than Brady without my family. That's life. If a marriage is strong it endures. The fissures between those two lie elsewhere.

He's home spring and most of the summer,

Ok, but we don't know that...I would venture to guess that he's preparing his body and mind for the upcoming season on pretty much a daily basis. We know that football is not a 6 month per year job where you can go home after the season, eat like crap, don't exercise, and then comeback in August. It's possible (and likely) he's getting ready for the season outside of the home.

Personally, I think Tom is still playing because he doesn’t want to "leave any more super bowls on the field," so to speak. He's worried that 20 years from now he'll be kicking himself that he's still played at a high level and left the game. It's the curse of the TB12 method...it seems like it can prolong your career indefinitely.
