Defense was not great today and they have almost no room for error especially with this offense.
Jones was decent running the ball and made a couple of nice passes but on the flip side they have to deal with Jones throwing interceptions every single game.
I know I'm probably in the minority but Jones just doesn't do enough to make me think he's the guy. His passes float and he makes terrible decisions.
Honestly If gunner didn't take that punt off the mellon last week they'd be looking at starting the season 0-4 especially with Green Bay coming in next week.
I said prior to the season, Mac has to cut down on the INTs to become a great QB, he’s gotten way worse in that category. Too early to jump to conclusions, but i’m seeing indications of him possibly not being the answer.
I guess when Belichick blows smoke up a players ass saying such incredible things about his 2nd year jump, the answer is not to listen. It’s all about what happens on the field.
If Mac is hurt for the most or rest of the season, I would think they would give him another year. Probably too early to make a decision after 20 games. And use that cap space to put some talent around him.
That was a dirty play that hurt Mac imo. Ball is clearly out of his hands and Campbell didn't have to drag him to the ground. All game we don't blast Jackson even when we had free rushers and they pull this. SMH.
Mac needs a total reset. Having time to think about how he Has sucked thus far this season might give him a chance to figure out why. He’s had three weeks and has regressed even more.
Bill didn’t have his son on one side of the ball and Matt Patricia on the other side. He also was building a very fundamentally sound team with good talent.
The last few years have been the least talented of the Belichick era and the coaching situation is a mess.
Brady got a solid cast of veterans and young explosive players and Charlie Weiss was running the offense and Romeo Crennel was in charge of defense. That’s a pretty ideal way to develop a young guy.
I hate to be pessimistic, but it appears Mac will be out for min. 2 months. Everyone is pissing on Mac for the picks today, but I saw some great signs of offensive competence today, and it would only continue to develop. But this injury is a season killer. Hoyer will be in handcuffs, and we'll go back to square one. And we know BB won't let Zappe play, so it's another wasted year. At least they'll be forced to bring in a legit OC and prepare for Mac year 3. I'm sickened by this.
Btw if Mac is out, don’t delude yourself into thinking the season isn’t over. Every fanbase that isn’t happy with their QB thinks there is some magic guy on their bench. It almost never happens and it’s just delusion and desperation
