Ok, Jakobi’s knee is at least a bit concerning. Seeking out tests for it. Is this the same injury from the last preseason game? Not great if it’s been bothering him that long and the lack of improvement is notable enough to warrant tests.

We don't get too much about injuries. Patriot way......hasn't changed since 2000

Not that I would want to go without Jakobi, obviously... but the glass-half-full outlook is that if Jakobi does miss a game, it means it forces Mac to play a whole game throwing to everyone else besides Jakobi and maybe build a little bit of chemistry. Right now it feels like he clicks with Meyers, Bourne and that's about it. And Bourne doesn't see the field that much. Really need some chemistry with the other guys. It even feels like he's fallen out of sync with Hunter Henry who is his freaking neighbor.

Meyers told Reiss in the locker room yesterday he was ok, we'll see how today and tomorrow look for him however:

this would normally bother me, as I find Meyers to be our best possession receiver... Mass Live said he was seen at practice so here's to hoping its nothing serious... I dont want him missing weeks because he should have sat a bit more for 1 game...

three things, though... kinda both positives...

Maybe it gets Bourne on the field a bit more ... some good production from him will get his fully out of the dog house, and above Lil'Jordan on the depth chart... I think its a must that Bourne starts to see more snaps...

Nelson Agholor has been playing rather well *knocks wood x3* ... gotta love a contract year...

Maybe MP will dial up some non-go routes for Devonte Parker... lets see if he can get him on track with Mac... He has potential to produce some good games... shame to see it wasted because he's currently being mis-used

Would it shock anyone if Patricia still found a way to keep Bourne off the field Sunday if Myers can't go?

Maybe... did you ever answer the question that 3 or 4 posters asked you?

Yes. His punishment is over he saw more snaps last week. Wish people would recognize he didn't do alot with his increased reps. He will continue to get reps and if he performs well he can get back to where he was at the end of last year. But after his spring and summer he has to earn them back. Meyers injury and Parker's disappearing act could create a quicker path but he still has to perform.

I wouldn't say his punishment is "over" when he was behind Lil'Jordan Humphrey in snaps. It's an improvement over 2 snaps, though. The issue is arguably not even about Bourne, but rather the insistence on playing Parker for so much of the game when he's been ineffective. Bourne just happens to be the most proven player at the position who hasn't been seeing the field much, so he's going to be the one fans clamor for.

DNP Wed and Thu and LP today. At this point with a questionable knee, he should prob just sit out.

It's been explained that the idea was to bring in Humphrey as a TE blocker, so Pittsburgh, who saw him as a WR, would switch to a different package.

Lil'Jordan was on the field for only 5 pass plays.
