Yeah I followed him and Trey Flowers closely in Detroit and players wanted him out the first training camp. Flowers was a desperation signing to help buffer the locker room.
The first sack on Mac, during their 2nd drive of the game, was a direct result of Strange69 completely blowing his ass-ignment on 1st/10 at the Miami 40... Took them out of possible FG range...
On the radio today Zo was saying the same things many of us on here have said. For the 2 TE, 2 WR set the WR's cannot be Meyers and Parker. One or the other but not both. With their separation/speed issues it makes it to easy on the D. Go man / bump n run and it gives Mac a very tight window to make a completion. Have to have a different skill set out there to put a bit of pressure on the D and give Mac some easier throw options. Also may put the other team in more zone coverage which will allow for Parker to be more effective.
More venting….Stevenson and Harris should have had close to 200 rushing yards combined…the yards were there for the taking. Bourne should have had 100 yards receiving and top 5 league-wide for YAC.
Instead of playing our game…we played someone else’s.
Here's a man with a solid grasp on reality. No ifs, buts or excuses. I like him.
“Honestly, no disrespect, but it don’t matter. You gotta move on,” Judon said. “We got to play better. We want to win games, so we don’t really take no moral victories and be like, ‘Alright, well we could have did this, we did this.’ We didn’t do anything good enough to win. So, we’ve got to step it up and play better. As good as we played — as good as we think we played, we’ve got to be better in order for us to win games. That’s really what it’s all about — every week going 1-0, so we’ve just got to play better.”
He ranked dead last in the league in separation from the man covering him last season, per the NFL’s Next Gen stats, and dead last the season before that, too.
I watched the highlights again last night. With the exception of some communication breakdowns, I didn’t see Strange struggle very much. He needs polish but he looked athletic in space and seemed to do well blocking in the passing and running game.
Would be curious to see the snaps that you saw Strange falling off of blocks, because as someone who watched a lot of his snaps fewer than 24 hours ago, I didn’t see the same.
Can you share a few clips? There are extended highlights on YouTube and you can make YouTube gifs fairly easily with a quick google search. Curious to see more of what you saw.

If they team is running the ball doesn't it make sense to have the better blockers in the game than the faster players? I like the idea of having one of Meyers or Parker in the game and one of Bourne or Agholor in the game in any two receiver sets. Although, I don't really think much of Agholor. Sure he gets good separation, but he really needs to be wide open, if the test is contested at all I don't have faith in him coming down with it.
We also need H Henry in that type of formation need a TE close to the LOS. Seems like to D gets there quicker when we are blocking with Five from the LOS. Our Pass Protection needs a lot of work.

Strange played a fine game. The one series benching was an example of good coaching by BB. Definitely a "Welcome to the NFL. Settle down and you'll be all right" moment.
Saw that too wasting a WR there Blocking in a struggling Offense yikes. You can be sure that Pittsburg will exploit that until we prove we can stop it.
Comments on this, I see a lot of alignment issues. While it is a nice play by Tua to look Bentley off, if other players are aligned better it wouldn't have mattered.
1. Peppers looks like he is either spying the QB or has the running back if that player releases. He should be a lot deeper if that's his role. I know the hope is that he confuses the lineman, but being within a yard of the line of scrimmage and just hanging out there doesn't help anyone. If he's deeper then Bentley doesn't need to move so far over.
2. Bentley cheating up to the line to show blitz seemed to have left him in bad position. But also, I'm not sure if a play design that funnels their receivers towards Bentley is what we want with his issues in coverage. If we are going to funnel to Bentley there better be another player in the middle to help him.
3. Dugger seems too deep to start the play, another couple yards up the field by alignment pre-snap and he makes the tackle.
