Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

1 and 2.)
NO ain’t winning that division with Jameis and a new coach the writer brings up the bucs schedule when NO has just as difficult schedule. Games vs Tampa, Cincinnati, @ Arizona (early when there hot), Minnesota, Vegas, Baltimore. A for game stretch in November before by which consists of @Pitt, vs Rams, @SF, and @Tampa, then face Cleveland and Philadelphia both on the road. Bringing up Tampa schedule while pumping up NO as threading to take the division from them is clown talk when they probably have a tougher schedule and an above QB at best

3.) Yes the offensive line lost Marpet, Cappa, Jenson, and Stinnie but they still have a very good line which will look even better with Brady at helm. Still have the best RT in Wilrfs, and on the right side there very good to elite with Smith/Mason. Yes RG and Center are a question mark but when you have Brady who will get it out quick and have Godwin/Gage who win quick routes good luck with that.

Also still hilarious seeing “experts” pump GB again just for them to choke in the playoffs per usual. I don’t care if GB gets homegirls throughout Tampa will roll in there and smack them in January with that weak WR room

LT-Smith
LG-Goedeke
C-Hainsey
RG-Mason
RT-Wirfs

Strong on the right side question marks at LG and C. Ultimately because of Brady they should be good but they cannot afford any more injuries.

Concerning for sure, but TB release time should make up for it

Did you know that Tom Brady is the first and as of this day only QB to ever be vulnerable to inside pressure? I know, sounds crazy but it’s true. Ever since the 2007 Giants discovered that kryptonite Brady has been completely incapable of adjusting to any defense focusing on pressuring him up the middle. It’s a tragedy that such a promising athlete had his career completely derailed by that Giants team unlocking the blueprint, and it’s even more amazing that it still seems to be a uniquely Brady concern. Sigh, what might have been. I hear the man’s been selling insurance somewhere in Spokane since that day.

Why would you listen to some insurance guy from Spokane claim Brady is the only QB vulnerable to inside pressure? This makes no sense.

Is the main board too boring for you?

Not at all. I'm the designated ombudsman for this forum, you must have missed the notice a while back.

It's a safe move for an 'analyst' to make gutsy predictions like the Saints winning the division because no one will ever remember if they are wrong. I do like the Saints though, just not their QB.

The love for GB isn't as insane to me as others, but only because of their defense. They have had a great defense for a few years now and it looks to be a top unit again this season. Rodgers can check down all day on his way to 35-4 stat line.

So many picking the Packers. It’s like no one watched the playoffs the last 3 years.
The defense did get better. They have talent everywhere it all falls on good old ayahuasca

They have had a great defense the last 2 seasons. It was amazing to see the niners beat them last year when the packers basically shut them down and Rodgers did nothing.

New unofficial Bucs depth chart shows rookie Rachaad White as the No. 2 back behind Leonard Fournette.

Godwin was a guest on the installment of the In the Moment with David Greene podcast released on Tuesday and was asked about the likelihood of him playing in Week One. Godwin declined to put a percentage on his chances.

“That’s a great question,” Godwin said. “I don’t think any of us know that yet . . . In the grand scheme of things, I don’t think it matters that much. I would love to be there for the entire season, but I think what’s more important is being there for the second half of the season. Being there for what I missed last year.”

Hype every year:

Aaron Rodgers + NFCN = Lombardi!

It's even become a part of the idiotic "Tom's the greatest ever, but Aaron's the best ever!" push the media has made in the post-Manning era.

Their D is good, but nothing special. They get exposed come playoff time. They don't have one guy that scares anybody.

Health permitting, Bucs and Rams will meet in the NFCCG.

???

The defense was absolutely dominant during the SB run. Last year, it basically only played 2 games as an intact unit.
