He was the standout on defense for me yesterday. His progression is important as he can kick a mediocre CB off the field & Jonathan Jones has exceled on the outside when he’s had to vs. Hill.

J. Jones
Mills
M. Jones (slot)

Shortest CB trio in NFL history but maybe the fastest today.

Andrews is fed up:

I'm fine with this. Andrews leading by example (so long as he doesn't get kicked out of EVERY practice, I think this is good). Wonder if there's a little intentionality with egging on Barmore, who has been a wrecking ball so far. Offense needs a kick in the pants, let's hope this is it.

Cajuste over Herron at RT, Herron is better at LT.....Would prefer Onwenu if Wynn can't go, but then who do we play at RG? Maybe Chase Hines says hello!!!

Cajuste has strung a few good practices together in previous years but that's it IMO. I hope he can step up but I'm not hopeful.

Yeah, I remember him being a pretty good run blocker, some struggles in pass blocking.

He's another player I'm looking forward to seeing. That list is growing by the minute!!

This was a tough practice for Bourne. He dropped two passes in 1-on-1s and showed questionable effort on Mills’ INT. The wideout appeared frustrated after that turnover, which came on the first rep after a prolonged break for Mac Jones.
There are rumors now of injury to Mac (with which I disagree), but this data point from another position group having a poor outing and loss of effort output is an indicator that perhaps the entire unit as a whole has lost their confidence in each other and themselves. First we see Mac throwing his helmet then a "half-hearted" route ending in an INT.

These are the things that can derail a campaign before it even gets started - a team MUST have trust as the bedrock. If they all start laying blame, or subconsciously thinking well, the QBs going to get sacked anyway, etc, etc and that trust is eroded, it's extremely difficult to get back.

Let's see if the Andrews "position meeting" from last night has any impact on today's practice. Here's hoping.
