Harry to Chicago for 2024 7th rounder

To be clear, I said that without Tom Brady, he is mediocre as a HC.

And the record 100% supports that statement.
Football is not a one man sport, if that was the case, send any player in the NFL to Detroit and see how the team does? Just ridiculous.... BB is the GOAT, if he has talent, he'll get more out of his team than any other coach in history. Just go back to the 2001 team, the 2018 team, even the 2020 team when he got 7 wins out of a no talent team, that shouldn't have won 4 games. Just a crazy argument and we'll end it here.

Please get back on topic of Harry

Sounds like he was liked in the locker room which is interesting for a guy who requested a trade.

If Harry finds his game with Fields in Chicago... yikes.

The trade request was a big misstep for him obviously, but I can't remember ever really hearing rumors that he was a locker room problem or disliked by his teammates. Even Brady commented on one of his posts/tweets before we knew he was leaving for Tampa. Something along the lines of "This is gonna be a big year for you." He probably works hard, just isn't getting it mentally for whatever reason.

Tbh (and I don't mean to add to it) but I don't think 2020 was that great of a season for Bill and the rest of the coaching staff either. I remember coaching definitely lost the Broncos game plus I think the Seahawks and Dolphins games. But it wasn't just coaching it was the whole roster, like with any bad team they got worse as the season went on.

I think that slump even started right before Brady left. Pats finished the 2019 season poorly which is not at all like the team we knew over our 2 decades of dominance and disregarding the win over the 2-14 Bengals which told us nothing like the Jags game last year, the team allowed more points than they scored in that time and averaged just 18 points a game. So what happened in 2020 IMO was a carryover from that, minus of course the QB.

Some players may have had an issue and stayed quiet but i'm sure others saw N'Kuthin wasn't playing and he wanted out. They saw that.

It's possible- but doubtful because of his lack of speed, failure to gain separation and route running.

Perhaps part of the reasons that led to his failure here was the pressure/stress of playing here and the complexity of the system. If CHI is a more relaxed environment and a simpler offensive system he might be somewhat productive.

?? I always try to be respectful to everyone, if there is a problem, PM me and I'll be happy to speak to you in private. I have done that many times with a lot of posters and it's better than bringing it up in this post.
If you're going to be making ridiculous statements, expect me to call you out on it. Having a BB vs TB debate is not happening here. Everyone is tired of it. Consider this a warning. If you think that's abusing my authority, than I am sorry.

I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't bring it up to you.

2019 ended because Brady was hurt, he was suffering from three separate injuries.

2020 was a cap clearing season, a salary dump… that’s why they offered their starting QB 500K guaranteed. Look at other successful rebuilds in history, we’re talking 1-4 win seasons. The results of that season were completely irrelevant except for the fact they cleared 1/4 of their entire (dead) cap debt off the books and cleared the way for the massive spending spree in 2021.

In 2021 they drafted the best rookie QB in the entire class, the best DT and arguably the best RB… now they’re on an upward trajectory.

Turning an NFL franchise around is akin to turning an oil tanker around… it’s not Kevin Durant or Tom Brady taking their services to an already very good team.

That the Brady-stans can’t recognize this isn’t surprising… they believe in magical QB’s that make total team success happen… they believe in fairytales.

I was wondering how long it would take till the "Go root for the Bucs" babies started whining.

Since we are allowed to call out ridiculous statements:

You are literally engaging in the debate you are telling everyone else not to engage in. You are using your authority as a moderator to get the last word in by stating your point, then telling others they are forbidden from doing the same.

The abuse of authority comes from you engaging in a debate on a particular topic, telling other people not to engage in that same debate, and then deleting their posts when they post on the same topic you are posting.

They literally had to build you jokers your own forum…

Ok, no more on this topic. Please let's move on from this. Thank you.

And everyone still runs in there to cry when people discuss the franchise's greatest player.
That’s all you people do… whine.

Any toughness baked into the Patriot fanbase after years and years of futility was lost thanks to Belichick in the 2000’s.

The level of entitlement is unmatched in all of pro football and perhaps pro sports. Now we have a generation of snowflakes who think that just because the Pats made winning rings look easy, that it really is.

There are more posts in that forum from the haters than the supporters.
Real Patriots fans made their stance known when Tampa came to play last season. When Tom was introduced pregame the fans cheered enthusiastically. When he was announced to take the field and play he was roundly booed.

What we see in the Tampa Tom forum are the entitled few who wore Tampa jerseys to the game and got drowned out.

Holy f*cking hell, get a hold of yourself. Do we really need more Harry hand-wringing and rehashing? How many hundreds of posts have been devoted to this subject? Thank you for typing SEVEN in capital letters and adding bold emphasis, because otherwise we never would have known that so many other receivers from that draft had excelled, based only on those hundreds of other posts about the same topic. We finally got it with your post. God bless you.

Some here are probably upset that Harry is gone because they now have one less thing to whine/b*tch/moan about. Let’s be honest, very few posters here disliked the pick at the time. Some had WRs whom they preferred but pre-draft Harry was in the mix with a handful of WRs for top 3 status. He wasn’t considered a reach at the end of the 1st round. Having said that, these are the truths that have been discussed ad nauseam over the past 2-3 years that we all (should) accept:

- IT ENDED UP BEING A DISASTROUS PICK. THAT IS ON BILL.

- THE SUCCESS OF SEVERAL WRs DRAFTED AFTER HARRY MAKES THE PICK EVEN MORE PAINFUL FOR PATS FANS (AND EVERYONE IN THE PATS ORGANIZATION).

Ok, now can we just MOVE THE F*CK ON? He’s officially gone. The return is embarrassing, for the Pats front office and for Harry.

@Ian, aren’t these the type of threads that should be locked, when it becomes clear that nobody is bringing anything new to the table (neither the Bill haters nor the Bill supporters), multiple posters are writing the same tired sh*t because they see an opportunity to get one last smack in on the dead horse or because it is somehow therapeutic for them and the thread has devolved into a divisive mess.
