OT: Fundraiser to help us start our family

Best wishes to you and your wife, Jeremy. Admire your persistence with this and hopefully it will pay off.

Her theories and conclusions were pretty eye-opening in the episode she was on Rogan. Worth the read?
Yes. Or if you don't have that kind of attention span, one of her more instructional videos on YouTube.

You are kind of the living antithesis of her work, though. She might want to study you.

What are you doing back here so early?

I have the attention span. I’ll pick it up after I’m done reading “The Parasitic Mind.”

As for me being back early? We are less than a month away from the start of the season.

I thought you said you were taking the summer off, so that's what I was referring to. Pay no mind.

The book I'm reading now about the world we live in is Reality Blind by Nate Hagens. Really dense, but covers the intersection of global finance and debt, oil/energy/climate, environment, and how all that is likely to play out. He's a former Wall Street guy who became disillusioned, dove into research for 20 years, and this book is one result of it. He's got the #1 Earth Sciences podcast going now.

There, now you've got three books for light summer beach reading.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll probably move into some more light reading after finishing this one, but I’ll throw it on my list for the future. I had planned to be gone as long as I could travel… and we certainly did that. Now, the wife is entering the third trimester with Willa, so the only trip we have left is a quick weekend away to Amelia Island which is only 30-40 minutes away from our hospital. Now, I’m just working, golfing, and going to the beach or on the boat.

I wish DaBruinz the best of luck & he shouldn’t give up.

I have been down this road & it is worth the fight.

I got married at age 40 & the wife was 38.
After 4 miscarriages & and a doctor from hell from SSMED we went to one of the top specialists Dr Janice Fox from Brighams & Womens, she has an office in Weymouth.

We went the egg doner route & in 2005 it cost us about 15k.

We picked an egg doner who had done this before. She was a college student who had done it multiple times. I believe they received 5k.

Dr Fox advised us to pick someone who had done it in the past, and we checked her success rate. She had produced multiple eggs each time.

We also learned that our pregnancy’s stopped because the idiot doctor at SSMED had my wife taking the medicine at the wrong time & it was working as birth control.

Dr Fox, told us this & she pulls no punches.
She has a limited filter & she will tell you what you need to do & what not to do.

They tell you using a doner is a 50/50 chance, but everyone I know that has tried through Dr Fox has been successful

We received multiple eggs & we froze some. My son was born in 2006 & my daughter was born in 2007.

We got lucky

Good Luck !

Donation made and prayers & good wishes sent to you, Jeremy and Mary.

The office is open, he just ran the wrong route and is in an Arbys.
My eyes are tricking me! I thought you wrote "he just ran the wrong route and is in the abyss"

I want to thank everyone who donated. My wife and I will be able to adopt a child from the TX system. I can't express how thankful we are in words... Just know that it's tremendously appreciated.

Does Texas charge adoption fees?
