And I thought at the time Teddy Bruschi had a great name when Parcells drafted him.

This kid tops even that.

Names matter, people.

His folks must've been blind drunk from the 'shine on the day when young Mr Pool was born...

Bumper is kind of old news in terms of names but he's become quite the player compared to when he first came in.

Carlton Martial. The next Teddy Bruschi. You heard it here first.

The Troy-Army football game was the best this season. Last year’s was Michigan State v Michigan.

Why Kenneth Walker with his five rushing TDs that game alone wasn’t invited to NYC for the Heisman is a mystery to me.

Martial law has been established!

Tucker Kraft.
Clayton Tune.
Tune in Zappe.

What a moronic thing to do to a kid.
Oh, and sorry about the nitpicking but Tedy is spelled with one d.

Speaking of Tedy, he was drafted back when I was an AOLe and I remember someone coming to the Pats site to tell us that we'd be surprised at how good he is. The man knew what he was talking about.

I remember watching the draft when Chris Berman made his famous comment about him... Man those first 3 rounds took FOREVER back then...

How about Chris Berman's comment on Alge Crumpler? I think he said something to the effect of, "Here is a pick that grows on you..."

I miss his commentary....

BTW, the young bucks in the media don't seem to understand Berman's classic phrase, "He could...go...all...the...way!" This was Berman imitating Howard Cosell, that MNF persona we all loved to hate. There, I have corrected the record before this important trivia is lost to history.....BTW, the famous "Cosell Sucks" NFL game has almost been cleansed from history by the prudish NFL (Pete Rosell I assume)--a classic highlight MNF about to be forgotten.

BTW, I met a gal at school who knew a gal who tried to date Berman in college (Brown). She said that the date was a disaster because all Berman talked about was sports. As Seinfeld might have said, "So what's wrong with that?"

Two Byron Youngs? Both in the Mike Dussault list of Patriot type players. Why not draft ‘em both? Back to back.

I love a little levity.
