NFL Free Agency 2022 edition

For the same general reason that most of these reaches occur: Bill's attempt to show the league that he's the smartest guy in the (draft) room, when in fact he's one of the least-informed.
I'll say it again, but is the the same"least informed" guy that won"executive of the year" last year? He must be making some right decisions.

So why did bb go rogue and overdraft cole the strange?
He went rogue according to whom? Kiper? The consensus board?

Since he was drafted, there has been a lot of information that has come to light that indicates that many NFL coaches, scouts and front office personnel love not only his talent/abilities at present but even more so his potential going forward. And the initial talking point that he wasn’t going to be chosen until the third round has been disproven.

They drafted him because he was likely the top guy remaining on their board, possibly by a good margin, while also fitting a need.

Let’s think about this for a second.

In the first round, most teams try to draft game changers, difference makers, or play makers at key positions.

We over drafted a guy at a non key position! Outside of mankins, when has bb ever drafted a guard in round 1 or 2.

By definition, that is going rogue!

There were two offensive guards drafted higher than Strange. So all three teams went rogue drafting at a non-key position?

About Mankins, he was far and away the second best pick of the next 32 guys taken. Although he graded out as a better pick than Vincent Jackson, you can argue Jackson was actually the better player. But Vincent Jackson was the ONLY Pro Bowler of the next 32 picks.

So, if Strange becomes Mankins 2.0, and the rest of the 2nd round has only a couple decent players, you can see the argument for Strange.

more affectionally known around here as the guy BB passed on when he selected Jermaine Cunningham

Cunnyham over Dunlap was indeed egregious; but I really, Really wanted Bill to take Golden Tate there... He & Brady would've been Special... We win SB46 with him (if the Vagiants even make the POs that season), maybe go to the SB the following year, and at the least make the 2013 AFCCG more competitive...

He'll fit right in Buffalo.
