Kyle Van Noy on Brandon Staley: It's refreshing to have a young coach with his mindset.

Does this guy irritate anyone else? He just seems like such an abrasive pain in the ass. Even when he was here is comments annoyed me.

Van Noy is not far from being out of the league. His contract is one year and only 750K is guaranteed.

It was pretty evident at the end of the season that Van Noy doesn't have enough speed to survive much longer.

So who can blame him for trying to help build unity behind the coach who many thought blew the Chargers season? That might be a factor in him sticking.

Does he mean the same mindset that went for the 1st down deep in his own territory - on 4TH down btw - and cost his clearly more talented team a PO berth? That "mindset" should've been fired on the flight home.

Van Noy has been a bit of a talker for years now, but he's too much of a JAG to get away with it

He's complimenting his new coach.

What do you want him to say?

He doesn't have the wisdom, smarts, and experience of my former coach, Bill Belichick?

I can't believe people get upset at these things.
It just seems like this guy always needs to say something that could be taken as a shot. Frankly I just don't like him so that is probably why this annoys me more than it should.

Always liked KVN. He contributed and was a cog in a machine that won many games, including championships. And he was acquired for next to nothing, didn’t break the bank while in NE.

You mean Kyle Van An-Noy-ing?

These specific comments I don't think are a big deal but something about the guy just kinda annoys me.

I don't think hes a bad guy. Just a little irksome...

Tbh, what do you expect someone to say about your new team . Staley is a young coach . Not sure why we need to look at it in a microscopic or binary view where anything he says is antithesis of what exists here in N.E . If he were here he would have said more about the process, familiarity and GOAT coach .

Yes he does shoot off a bit, but in this instance I just feel we are making a mountain out of a molehill. Nothing to get tensed about.. chill...

31 years old ... on the downward of his career ... 2.25m contract in the balance? Put me in coach in ready to play... excellent job you are doing here as well...

hell yeah id be saying good things about the coach ...

If Staley pulls the same idiotic, game-losing decisions outta his azz that he did last season, then KVN will be singing the praises of the new HC of the LAC one year from now...

Kyle Van Noy is the epitome of a "system player".
