Brady to Fox after he retires

you sound like a blithering idiot of Brady fan boy who has NO idea of the meaning of CONTEXT and understanding how FA has changed over the years.
LOLOL!!! The angry moron chimes in…!! All your ranting and raving does nothing but prove how much the truth hurts.
FA might have existed while Bill was in Cleveland but was MUCH more limited than it is now, and NO I have no wish to explain it to you since you are a blithering idiot of a Brady fan boy who only understands simpler concepts.
Yup. Typical moron response: “we can’t count Belichick’s time in Cleveland because reasons..!!”
Suffice it to say that during Bill's time in Cleveland there was only ONE way to build a program in the NFL and that was through the draft. The Browns were the Jags of the NFL back then and it took a few years to develop the program and improve the talent.
No they really weren’t even close to being the Jags of the NFL. They went to the conference game 3 of 5 years prior to Belichick’s arrival.

So you’re just totally a clueless moron when it comes to NFL history, huh..??
And if you think the only reason the Pats won 6 superbowls went to 9 was Brady,
When did I ever say that? I’ll wait…

So feel free to smugly trot out the same 3 stats
At least I’m dealing with stats and not the land of make believe and lame excuses like you are. Just sayin’.

This poster is completely stupid. Belichick inherited a 3-13 Cleveland team before taking over in 1991.

I simply don't understand your need to troll about Belichick...unless you're not really a Patriots fan, which is what I suspect. Like Patfanken said, Ian created the Tommy board for you and others like rico, amfootball, 1960Pats, etc.

My statement is 100% factual. Most (key word: MOST not ALL) coaches inherit bad teams because if they weren't bad, then the previous coach wouldn't have left/been fired. But to compare the Browns back then to the present day Jaguars was pure idiocy, and I demonstrated why.,

The guy who despises Tom Brady accusing me of not being a Patriots fan....

Then maybe this thread - which you started - should have been placed in that board.

What a dipsh*t you are.... you start a thread about Tom Brady in the main forum and then complain about people talking about Tom Brady in the main forum in the same Tom Brady thread that you started...

No, the point of the thread was to talk about Brady's career after he leaves football. It wasn't meant to be a Belichick vs Brady debate.

Was it Drew Bledsoe or Pete Carroll? Discuss. :)

What is comical are fans who would line up for a chance to wash Bradys jock strap.

I’d wash Brady’s jock strap…. (No homo)

LOL!!! I never mentioned Belichick until you took a comment of mine which said "Brady beat them twice in the Super Bowl." and changed it to "Belichick beat them twice in the Super Bowl." I ignored that bit of your usual immaturity and focused exclusively on Brady, but you couldn't let it go and gave us this gem: "mm...seems like he went 1-7 against those teams without Belichick." You are the one who made it Belichick vs. Brady, dumbass.

Good old Andy....

- He mentions Belichick twice in response to my posts about Brady, then complains how the thread became a "Belichick vs. Brady" debate.

Tell us Andy, do you ever get tired of making a complete jacka$$ of yourself??

I never accused you of starting the Bill vs Tom debate, but you and crawhammer certainly piled on. It was hypersensitive SB1 who made the first mention of Bill and then the two of you took over. My main comments on Brady had to do with him perhaps not being comfortable broadcasting games of teams he hasn't played well against.

Again, the thread was about Brady going to Fox. It's not a Brady free-for-all thread, which you seem to think it is.

I'm sure he is but that has nothing to do with his new job.

It's very likely Brady will retire without losing a single game to Bill's Patriots. I guess then he will be really happy and excited to be calling Patriots games ;)

Good, because you were the one who started the Bill vs. Tom debate in this thread.
, but you and crawhammer certainly piled on.
LOL!! Poor widdle baby started sh*t and now whines like a 4 year old when he got responded to in kind.

Nope. The internet is forever, my ignorant friend. While a couple posters joked about having Brady and Belichick in the same booth, I focused exclusively on Brady and you had to respond to my Brady posts - twice - with remarks that brought Belichick into the conversation.

Thanks for confirming you’re a moron, Gisele.

Yup. Same tired old argument. "Take away all of Belichick's bad years, and what you have left over isn't really so bad!!"

"It's unfair to count 1991 and 1992 because reasons! And it's unfair to count 1995! And you can't count 2000, that wouldn't be fair!! And it's also unfair to count 2020 and 2021 because more reasons!!!"
Then it would be unfair to take away 18 years right?

And it was obviously a joke hence the ;) but I'm hypersensitive? lol

WOW, do you have a doll of Brady that you take to bed with you at night?
No.

He is a narcissist human being that is and was a sports jock, he is not God. Maybe in his own mind he thinks he is. Maybe in your mind as well.
Do you like professional sports? The NFL? Lots of narcissists. Who cares? You're the one who doesn't understand what you're watching... you're watching professional athletes playing a game. Appreciate it for what it is. The NFL isn't meant to serve as a beacon of humanity.

Brady walked in to the team with the BEST offensive skill position group in the NFL to start with and THEN they added Gronk, AB, and Fornett.
Tampa Bay hadn't won a playoff game in 18 years (during which they had 10 last place finishes).
Tampa Bay had 1 road playoff win in 44 years... they won 3 in one postseason with Brady.
Tampa Bay had the worse winning percentage of all professional sports teams heading into the 2020 season.
Tampa Bay set a franchise record with 13 wins last season.

You tell me... who or what was the single most important variable that made Tampa Bay immediately successful?

You tell me... who or what was the single most important variable that made Tampa Bay immediately successful?

the combination of Brady, Gronk, Fournette, and Brown…

The dreaded short CB.

Anybody remember this draft?

What did you think the most pressing needs were that year? OL? D-line? CB with Otis Smith departing?

Who was mocked to go the Pats?

Who did you want the Pats to take?

Was Canty viewed as a reach?

And because of those 10 years of last place finishes and 19 they hadn't won a playoff game they had MORE than enough high draft picks in those drafts to accumulate the BEST offensive skill players (Evans, Godwin, Brown and Miller at WR). (Gronk, Brate and Howard at TE) Jones and Fournette at RB) and at least 3 very good OLmen in (Wirfs, Jenson and Marpet) and that was an area of relative weakness. (I have no clue about the rest of their OL the other 2 guy could have been good, mediocre or bad, but they kept Brady upright most of the season. That to go along with an excellent DL, 2 Excellent LB's and a good one in White David and Barrett and a solid if mediocre secondary.

This was the offensive fire power that Brady had at his finger tips in 2020 a year where the league overall was weakened by the 67 players who opted out AND the player games lost to the covid protocols

Now I was one who strongly believed Brady was NEVER coming back to the Pats in 2020. He knew the Pats were going to be in rebuild mode and the offensive cupboard was going to be bare especially in 2020. The all in mode the Pats had been on since 2016 had put the Pats in position where they had no cap room that year despite having a $1MM starting QB. I was THRILLED to hear that Brady went to the Bucs Because I AM a big fan of Tom Brady, just not a delusional one. They were a team that was ready to win NOW and had the best offensive talent that Brady ever had (and I think that included 2007). So Brady knew he had 2 or 3 years left and it should have been obvious to a blind man that they Pats weren't going to be competing for Championships in 2020, 21 AND 22.

Why can't we be happy that Tom Brady got to play his final years on a team that is going to be competing for a championship again. It was a just reward for 20 years greatest run in NFL history. But I also understand that NO QB, regardless of if he is an elite one or even the GOAT is solely responsible for their team's record. That's no how the game works. While the QB IS the most important player on offense, he cannot succeed on offense WITHOUT the other 10 supporting his efforts AND the coaching staff, and he adds NOTHING to the defense and ST's, both of which are critical to any team's success.

Peyton was a great QB, but the only 2 superbowls he won, he was carried behind 2 great defenses. Aaron Rodgers is acknowledged as the most skillful QB over the last 15 years, but despite all the yds and MVP's the guy has been to just ONE superbowl and has spent the bulk of his career with one playoff disappointment after another.. Bottom like you don't win Superbowls UNLESS you have the complete package all Superbowl teams have. A combination of offense, Defense, ST's, Coaching AND a little bit of luck

Brady himself said that one of the most important factors in FA was the talent level of any team he was going to sign with. The Bucs had one of the best (if not the best) offensive lines in the league plus Godwin and Evans. Add to that Gronk, Fournette, and Brown and you have one of the best offenses Brady ever had. Brady also said that Mike Evans is the best receiver he ever played with (not Moss). So this idea that Brady went to a team that had no talent is nonsense. The Bucs were just underperforming. In 2019 they were 1-2 games from a playoff spot had the league gone to a 7 team playoff format that year.

I just remember Sam Madison and Jason Taylor were there for the taking when the Pats took Canty. Oof.
