NEW ARTICLE: Like The Patriots, the Jets Haven’t Had Much Luck Either When it Comes to Drafting Receivers

The Jets are also bad at drafting QBs, OL, 1st round DL, CBs, Safeties, and pass rushers.

For the Pats I wonder why the approach isn’t to take a late round guy more often than not. 2 out of 3 years take a receiver who’s useful on Special Teams in the 6th or 7th and some of them will learn the offense just by chance. Instead that slot invariably goes to OL.

Two reasons, mainly:
- Billy sucks at drafting WRs & CBs;
- Tom Brady.
Imagine had he just put a little more effort in drafting WR's.

How many years did we see the Pats lose playoff games because they didn't have enough firepower to counter the defense?

WR’s have the highest rate of failure among offensive players in the draft… everyone has trouble drafting them. The Pats mostly don’t, probably for that reason.

This might be their hope with Tre Nixon... This could be Ernie's final pick's last chance maybe to show the rest of us what was seen in him in the first place...

The Pats mostly don't what?
