What moves do you think are likely for them to sign vet FAs?The 2nd wave of free agency will begin tomorrow. Signings no longer count towards the comp pick formula as of May 2nd. I am guessing that we will see one of Hicks or Flowers back in New England in the next few days. Perhaps a re-signing of Van Noy or Collins.
Hicks/Flowers, yes….KVN/Collins, pass. The 2nd wave of free agency will begin tomorrow. Signings no longer count towards the comp pick formula as of May 2nd. I am guessing that we will see one of Hicks or Flowers back in New England in the next few days. Perhaps a re-signing of Van Noy or Collins.
They would create the cap space. They need to, anyway, to sign their rookies.Pats have $999k in cap space not counting the new rookies. What moves do you think are likely for them to sign vet FAs?
They also have about 87 players w/ UFAs.
Why is Hicks still available? I would of thought that we would have competition to sign him.Hicks/Flowers, yes….KVN/Collins, pass.
Agree for the most part, but I think KVN still has a little left in the tank. He’s not what he was even three years ago but he’s not as broken down as Hightower. In a rotation, for low money, he would be fine.Hicks/Flowers, yes….KVN/Collins, pass.
Funny I just posted I'd prefer Hightower. Especially if Flowers is back I think we could use the help more at ILB than OLB. I guess KVN might have a little more gas left though.Agree for the most part, but I think KVN still has a little left in the tank. IMO Hicks is not happening but Flowers is.Hicks/Flowers, yes….KVN/Collins, pass.
He's on his 5th year option at 8million +, so not too bad. Good player. Very good player. If I remember right then I heard a rumour that daron payne is on the trading block
Might be an interesting option if the price is right

I think that neither Van Noy nor Collins are back. Collins brought ZILCH to the team overall. The 2nd wave of free agency will begin tomorrow. I would like Payne and god on earl downs depending on the formation. Age is a plus to HicksThat would be great. Signing FAs allows more flexibility to push $$ into future years.

They'd only free up about $3M if they cut Bailey. But they aren't cutting him. They signed a punter, like they always do, to make sure legs are fresh during camps.Miguel has broken down how the Pats can easily free up tons of cap space. Not $20-30 million, but $12-15 million. Hell, they can free up $4 million of cap just by cutting their punter.
