OK, I've been thinking and watching and reading and I finally have something to say as we inch closer the draft.

Last night I went to one of those mock draft sites for the first time. My objective was for the Pats to trade down, add picks, and come away with a CB with a recognizable name, Travis Jones, and then a WR and OLman. I spent an hour trading with various teams with various deals, and never made it work. If I traded down too far the CB's were gone. BUT if I only traded down a bit, Jones was gone in the 30/s. So in my mind the ONLY way we are going to grab Jones is to trade down deep enough to make him our first pick and have plan B for CB.

I wasn't happy. But here's the thing. There are a LOT of quality players left in FA that have been mentioned here. For example, I don't know why Akeem Hicks isn't currently on the roster. Adding him AND Flowers seem like no brainer and would instantly Improve the DL substantially and I'm pretty sure we could sign them both for about $10MM total

Hick would make a LOT of sense. Lining up next to Barmore, in his ear all week teaching the kid just how to be a pro. It seems like a no brainer.

It is also interesting to read about all the WR that might be on the block or could be cut. So much talent and every year it seems so many more come out. That is why I'm lowering my sights on getting a WR early in this draft. It looks like there are so many options outside the draft still available.
I was trying that too. The best I got was 32 and 34 for 21 and 54. Got Jones and Elam(or Hill), but it left lesser WR's/OL's for pick 85

He's totally going to the Jets. They were the Tyreek Hill runner-up, and their HC, OC, and WR coach all overlapped with him in SF.
been saying this for weeks.

Jets have the right idea. Get your young potential franchise QB a young game breaking WR. Its an idea I wish the Pats would incorporate. However its still the Jets so no matter how something looks on paper its going to be executed poorly.

If they trade for Deebo guess we trade for AJ Brown.
We would be only team in the East without a premier number 1.
Now drafting Jameson Williams of Trevon Burks would be a great move to.

I have Jameson Williams as a trade up valued target
I have Trevon Burks as number 22
I have George Pickens with a slight trade down.
These are the only receivers I have as a first round targets.

I have Javan Dotson in the second round or number 32.

I have about 6 receivers very closely ranked from 3rd to 6th round.

Deebo is the only WR left out there I'd pay near the 20/per to get. He can do so much more than almost all of the other top #1s.

But I really don't like this look from him.

Cousin Chris, Keep your eyes to the Skyy. Perhaps in the second. Moore fits with what they want to do. A surprise pick might be Metchie who might hang till the 3rd.

Im not a Metchie fan he reminds me a of a slower Agholar.
Sky Moore I need to watch more of.
I like the kid from Pitt as well.
Will you be a fan when the Pats draft him ?

Be honest Sky Moore doesn’t seem like more than a Jag to me.
I don’t trust he has the speed to get open in the NFL.
I think he’s a career number 4th or 5th option.

Totally. Not a day goes by when I don’t think to myself “Why can’t the Pats run their organization like the Jets do?” Jets fans are so lucky.

Interesting to note since he was one of the last cuts by the Ravens. They tried to sneak him onto their POS, but the Seahawks took him off waivers last year.
