Even if it means a trade up.
Bacon can I check your temperature? Olave is really good on tape reminds me of a former Buckeye Terry Glenn talent wise. I agree with you about him being a safe pick no questione at all. That said I know everybody is in love with Davis but I'm not going salivate our a guy we have no chance of getting. P. s. I'm not opposed to Jameson Williams at 21 he should be ready by holloween.I've actually warmed up to Olave as a 1st RD pick. Tied for WR3 with Jameson. Never killed it in college but very consistent and I think he'll be the same exact guy next level. He is who he is but he'll be that guy in the pros. Comes from a complex system at OSU. Not my first choice but he's safe as hell. Will come in right away, produce and won't be a problem. All of a sudden Parker, Olave, Bourne, Henry, Meyers, Agholor isn't bad at all.
I'll say Dax Hill since he hasn't been mentioned
I would love Wandale Robinson on a double dip at the position in the Third.Wandale Robinson. Running back/wide receiver. Super playmaker.
Which is what they need badly. I'm tired of watching their DL get pushed back.Everything I heard about Jordan Davis is that he is a one-trick pony, but he's very good at that one trick, which is stopping the run...
We have no chance of getting Davis? Several scouts have said no way to him in the first.Bacon can I check your temperature? I think Olave is a cross between Calvin Ridley minus the gambling problem and Tyler Boyd with a little more juice.Bacon can I check your temperature? Belichick was infatuated with Schiano's defenses. He hasn't drafted a Rutgers player in years. You guys just setting yourselves up for misery, when you know this should be your source document: Rutgers 2022 NFL Draft Scouting Reports include Bo Melton, Julius Turner, and more
I agree with both of these, Johnson or Karlaftis.I’m gonna go with Jermaine Johnson. I think him or Karlaftis will drop. I’d take which ever is available.
Also, watching Olave reminded me of Marvin Harrison. Not as fast though. Funny that his kid is now at Thee Ohio State U so I can watch him next year.
The Pats have a group of small and fast LBs now, now even counting Peppers, Dugger, and Phillips, who all might be lining up near the line.64.8%. That’s the percentage NFL offenses passed on first down in 2021. The game is much different than 2003 when Mt. Washington manned the middle. It’s different than it was during the bulk of Vince Wilfork’s career.
The challenge is to be able to adequately defend the run on early downs without compromising your pass defense. Does having a Dlineman who offers little if any pass rush capability turning a 4 man rush into a 3 man rush compromise your ability to defend the pass? 5 yard runs will beat you, but 40 yard passes will beat you quicker. Plus, putting a fat guy on the nose if the center doesn’t automatically give you a good run defense. There are still 6 other run gaps to defend.
If you think Davis or Jones can be a factor in the pass rush, then you draft them high, If not, you can’t justify a high draft pick on basically a situational player who plays 25 to 30 percent of the snaps. It’s a role the Pats need to fill, but there will be 330 pounders who’ll be available in the 4th or 5th round to fill it.
There will be a CB available at 21 they believe can be coached into being a starter and a top 10 player at his position. I don’t know who that is, but that should be their pick.
