Yea I thought him & Eze would grade out a little higher.
There's a lot to work with, with Bam but he's a project. A lot of it is just him not having experience (in terms of starts) , he started kind of late. I see that on tape. He's missing a lot of nuance and has almost no plan B most of the time. Again the experience isn't there and I see that in his lack of reaction time on counters. He's overcommited a lot whether it's trying to protect the edge, worried about getting beat inside. Once he's beat its over too often he needs a better overall plan and plan B.
I think his lower half is out of whack at times. Not in concert with his upper half. Base is a little too narrow specifically when facing speed outside. Weight transfer is off. Too top heavy at times.
First step / slide was inconsistent in every game I saw (6)
He's awkward in the run game. Can't maintain his leverage / power. Sloppy trying to go down hill by himself and in combos.
I always give guys breaks in terms of what angles they take on certain blocks or sets bc a lot of that is coaching but he was sloppy moving and trying to latch on and move someone.
I'm curious where others have him. Always nervous right now. I'll start to look at what others (Lance, Waldman, Dane) have around this time when I get a chance.
