I looked but didn't see any threads on the Masters. Of course that doesn't mean that there isn't one here and I couldn't find it.

I understand that the Tiger story is big and I'm surprised that they haven't been making the comparison to the situation that Ben Hogan went through many moons ago. Both were in critical condition after a car accident and made miraculous comebacks, yet I haven't even seen Hogan mentioned. It seems like a great addition to the Tiger story.

The first time I saw Scotty Scheffler I wasn't really a fan of his. Since then he has done a lot to show that he's a class act. Too bad that he signed with Nike. And now he has a 3 shot lead heading into the final round and will be trying to hold off a few other top golfers.

One other thing.

The coverage on pgatour.com has been great. There are hours and hours of live coverage of many of the holes. I like the Amen Corner one with holes 11,12 and 13 the most, but there are other holes covered. That's a far cry from the way football handles their telecasts. You'd think it was a crime to show anything without the NYFL getting paid.

I thought of the Hogan connection watching on Friday too. TIger looks in pain as the day plays on. Grimacing as he walks the course and he was using his putter like a cane at one point. I hope he can finish to tournament and play a little better than his Saturday round. His rounds have gotten worse each day. I think its pain, not the wind and chill affecting him.

I actually don't remember the exact injuries that Hogan had or the circumstances around his crash, but the situations are the same with one major exception, Hogan went on to win that major. I'm not sure Tiger will ever heal enough to win again. I'm also trying to figure out which leg is more important to golf, the front or the back.

We talked about Tiger yesterday at our poker game (all golfers) and a problem came up when one of the players erupted at the mention of Tiger with, "at least Hogan didn't do it to himself." He didn't have any sympathy for Tiger and didn't care much for him. That's when another guy at the table came to Tiger's defense. The last comment by our leader was "let's get back to the game."
