BB in damage control mode regarding Brady's departure

My point was that i have never seen Brady execute a GW drive getting the ball with less than 1 minute remaining other than SB 38.

So?

Because I just saw Stafford do it. I also saw Brady fail at it in SB 42 and 46. Maybe he's just not good in that situation.

Imagine if Brady had Rice during 8 of his peak seasons. Montana was lucky.
Plus Roger Craig, comparable to a Marshall Faulk being dual threat, and an elite oline that was allowed to chop block and did

So if a team passes for 200 yards and scores 31 points and a different team passes for 300 yards and scores 17 you think the 17 point offense was better?
And you thinking scoring a TD is misleading if you don’t like how many passing yards went into it?
no the problem is our passing offense still needs a lot of work. They are not that good

I already realized the other night it's fruitless. I've just accepted the fact Brady sucks and moved on with my life.

These numbers against his argument won't help:

Because then I'll hear about how Brady doesn't have more comebacks than Manning despite playing longer despite the fact Brady won games he didn't need to come back from deficits from. Then it'll be about how much better Manning is because at least he didn't lose three Super Bowls and that Eli finished undefeated against him in Super Bowls. (stupid Eli).

But if I do that, he'll pivot to another fact and then catch me being tired where I stupidly misquote a fact that I'll look up incorrectly.

So yes, Brady sucks. Moving on

They were good enough to score the 6th most points. Of course we would like them to score the most. But the offense was good in 2021.

Exactly. Don’t feed the trolls

I jumped into the fray just to see where his mind was at and I get that you can't argue the QB rating, but the end result is what it is and the rosters Montana played with were significantly better - especially on offense - than Brady's. You can argue the small details but the bigger picture is what matters. I know he's just needling people for fun and I get it. But I also fall in the middle in terms of how great Brady and Belichick were together and I don't think either of them win 6 rings without the other. My biggest disappointment was seeing the Patriots not go to the playoffs in '08. I would have loved to have seen what Cassell might have done with that group of players. They had just started playing well down the stretch and I feel like they had a good shot to surprise people.

Yup, he's just trolling the Brady forum members. If he feels that way about Brady, why is he even in the Brady forum? To troll. You really should ban him from the Brady forum, he adds nothing and creates confrontations. I mean @MahomestoKelce is a Chief's fan and he supports Brady more than Timmy the clown.

I agree he’s a tool but I don’t agree you ban someone from a forum because they have a different opinion.

Not the entire forum, the Brady sub-forum. He's trolling. Trolling is supposed to be against forum rules.

Stafford's 2021 season was better. Not only did Stafford have almost as many touchdowns and yards as Brady, he did it with 120 fewer passing attempts.
This is the type of disingenuous & utterly ridiculous post that prevails the Brady threads from this clown.

Brady at age 44 had an MVP level season. Brady and Rodgers each led the league in 9 QB categories. Stafford led the league in 2 categories: interceptions (17) & pick 6s (4). Yet, according to this clown, Stafford had a better statistical season than Brady. Come on @Ian.

Clearly your understanding of how the NFL salary cap works is lacking.

They could have used future option years to spread the cap out, like many teams do. The cap is very flexible if ownership is willing to spend future capital today
They could also not have tag thuney and let McCourty go that would have saved around 20M in cap space that year.

And yes, they could have easily structured Brady extension to give them flexibility in 2020. Kraft said it himself.

You are wrong. They released hit and have an 11 million dead money hit. You don’t have a dead money hit on a player who becomes a free agent.

Look at dead money at the bottom of the page.
Brady had a 13M dead money hit for the Patriots in 2020 and was a FA. You are a clown

Including playoffs, yes.

at some point the Tommy-lickers on this board will realize that Brady led the league in a number of offensive categories...because "gasp" he threw the ball more than anyone. In fact Tommy had the 2nd most passing attempts in NFL history per season last year. Ya think he's going to lead the NFL in yards, TDs, completions, etc?
