On Bobby Wagner signing with the Rams the river runs to the sea.

Absolutely not, it’s actually even more critical now.

That approach produced an offense that was top 10 in virtually every metric, 6th in scoring, 2nd is % of drives scored, with a rookie Qb, who was theb5th one drafted. It was among the few if not THE most productive rookie QB offense ever.
Had that rookie QB not made rookie mistakes throwing crucial Ints to cost them some games, they probably would have been the 1 seed.
The people here who say the team has no talent can’t seem to reconcile that. Either they are wrong about the talent or don’t understand just how effective the philosophy is.

Look at it this way.
They were 10-7 with a rookie QB.
8 teams were better.

These were those 8 QBs and hoe many games better
Brady. 3
Rodgers 3
Mahomes. 2
Allen. 1
Prescott. 2
Stafford. 2
Murray. 1
Tannehill 2

If you switch QBs how many of those teams won more than the Patriots?

So QB aside how many teams had better “other 52” players?
If a top QB was worth 2 games compared to rookie Jones, then our basic teams were about even. That is truly incredible. [three for the league MVP contenders].

There’s no way the Bucs take him back (Antonio Brown) after he openly quit on the team and publicly rooted for them to fail on social media

Also, interesting strategy to not deal with his ankle injury in the offseason, and instead expecting a team to sign him just to have him immediately go to IR….

This guy is something else lol

Remember when people were taking his side about Arians forcing him to play on a bad ankle? Wonder how they feel now.

I do understand cap hit vs avg salary. I didn't realize there was such a big difference for these 2 jags.

And yes, godcheaux is the epitome of a jag. Bb was bidding against himself, buying a cheap vw for audi prices. Can't find a half dozen guys on practice squads etc as good as this huy?

Algohor is worse. A part time wr getting ",only 11m per year". To what? Alligator arm balls and play 50% of the snaps? 5% of the cap for that? Expensive alligator!

Smith was just a whiff. But a horrendous one. "Top o' the market stevie!" Too bad they didn't check to see if he could learn a playbook. Oh well. Not like he'd be hard to cut. Doh!

This is what you get when you can't draft.
So in addition to not understanding the cap you can’t evaluate players either huh?

I like Jones and I think he had a good season, great for a rookie. But he had a lot to do with 4 losses just because of rookie mistakes. Indy, Miami, buffalo, NO.
As a second year player if he avoid those mistakes it’s the difference in being a 1 seed. People who think this team was really far away are wrong.

If you think 473 yards is worth 11m aav, well that's some koolaid you're drinking. He's a bargain at twice the price, right?

Tell me again how harry is actually really good and this will be his break out year! From here he looks bad, but I defer to your player evaluation expertise, lol.

So first off all you don’t even realize that he hit the cap for less than 7 last year.
Secondly I am thrilled with the 2021 results of the offensive free agency.

Before free agency they had a rookie QB, Meyers, Harry and no TEs to throw to, no C, no LG and no RT.
Free agency turned that into the 6th highest scoring offense in the league.
No one could have possibly expected more.

Why are you acting as if I made positive comments about Harry? Have you reached the point where you can’t question anything I say so you make things up.

Should I start insulting you because you think the Jets are going to win the SB? Is that how this works? Make up something stupid and pretend the other guy believes it?

IMO I am more willing to give all the new WRs and TEs a pass last year to some extent because they were both A) new to the system and B) catching passes from a rookie QB who’s new to the system and the entire league. Guys like Agholor and Smith didn’t produce like I would’ve liked but I’m not overly concerned just yet due to the above factors. I’ll have a much more critical eye for them in year 2. Conversely, I’m actually extra impressed by Bourne specifically because he outperformed my expectations despite these factors. Henry too.

To be objective you have to look at them as a group.

Jones completed 68% of his passes. That is good.
Rbs for just 89 of 364 completions. That is not out of the ordinary, meaning Jones didn’t complete a high % because he threw more often than normal to RBs which are high percentage throws.
WRs caught 194 passes, TEs 78.
The patriots averaged 11.3 per reception. This was tied for the 7th highest in the league.
So we completed a high percentage of passes for an above average amount of yards and threw with typical frequency to WRs.
The result was only 1 team score on a higher % of their possessions and we scored the 6th most points.
Does it really matter that Meyers caught a pass instead of agholor? Henry instead of smith?
Could we have thrown the ball more? Sure, but the amount we threw with a rookie Qb seems blatantly obvious to have been a smart approach.

I’m not seeing whet the issue is with the passing game that points to wide receivers. If you score a lot of points, complete a high % of passes, average a high amount of yards on those completions, spread the ball to wr,te,rb in a typical way all with a rookie qb, what are we *****ing about?

Judon‘s constant posts mean two things to me
He ain’t happy with the FA approach so far bc he knows we lost talent , i don’t agree with him
His posts would annoy me as a staff member
It means to me he likes to post on social media.

Doesn't look like they got better at all. A lot of bleeding there. Woods vs Robinson (wash), losing Von Miller, adding Wagner. Whitworth/Corbett huge losses. Williams is a loss. OBJ?
