I was referring to the recent ones. Not sure if we can replicate that.
That was a historic draft for the Pats. If not for being a murderer, that would have been 3 all pros.

Hopefully this upcoming draft can be half as successful

The only explanation I have is that Bill is punting on 2022…
OK.

List how many $5m+ plus players the patriots have signed each year in the first week of free agency. Tyhe situaion has been similar for almost all years, expect las year, when the clear plan was to absorb cap in 2020 and spend a LEAGUE RECORD AMONG in 2021.

Put two things next to each other. Top five each year in early spending and number of playoff wins. The patriots spend less and win more.

Yes, I agree that we had about of 5 or so years of difficulty in drafting quality contributors, almost always without a top 15 draft pick. The issue has NOT been free agency. The issue has been the draft.

* Sign Trent Brown
* Sign that Bates dude
* Draft a mid round Guard
* Pray (or don’t pray) to whatever you pray to (or don’t pray to) that Agholor and Jonny Smith step way the &@&@ up this year
* Find a big run stuffing DT in the draft or free agency
* Hope again that Uche and/or Perkins step up
* Draft a starting caliber CB

Bengals took 2 years to rebuild and get to the supe bowl

Bills took 3 years to get to the AFC Championship game

But we have to wait until year 4 in 2023 for us to be a contender. And what's actually gonna change? Will the Bengals and Bills and Chargers go away?

Will other teams not rise up?
This is all amount the quality of the quarterbacks.

How is 2023 "year 4" when Mac was drafted in 2021?

Packers are resigning, Marques Van Scandling, and Rasul Douglas.

Add in that hopefully mcmillan, wade can help out. And add trey flowers.

we could be hoping to hit it big in the draft with dl, lb , cb , g . That still would mean brown is a must keep.

Power Rankings (so far):

1. Buffalo

2. LA Rams

3. Kansas City

4. Chargers

5. Bengals

6. Raiders

7. Broncos

8. Tampa Bay

9. 49ers

10. Cowboys

Just beware, this guy was considered yet another of the vaunted Steeler big hits at the WR position a few years ago when he first came in, and now N'Keal Harry is outplaying him, as if that were even possible.
Eh…looking at his raw numbers, yeah. However; to be fair, Big Ben was the QB & we all know his arm has been cooked since 2019. This is why Diontae Johnson, Claypool, Najee & the TEs received most of his targets. All of these dudes besides Claypool (14.6) averaged under 11ypr, and Claypool had a 56% catch rate. Inefficient. Washington is a deep threat who should thrive in DAL with Lamb, Gallup & a QB who can get him the ball. May be a better fit..
