Davante Adams to Raiders

I'm only touching Burks or Williams RD1. After that guys like Watson, London and Pierce should be somewhat high on our board imo.

I've heard a lot of people like Olave for the Pats. Is he someone you don't like for some reason, or are you only thinking of guys you think will be there at 21? Curious your take on him, because from the (limited) things I've read I would think he's a fit.

Packers have stayed away from smaller WR lately. I could see them making a play for Burks or London.

Not the same system but we have a lot of similarities in terms of what we like and look for in OL, WR prospects.
Burks is flying up the boards Big Boy who can do it all. Bacon what do you think of Drake London? I don't want to judge him because of Harry. What if his game truly translates he would be the Gronk of WR's? I am sure the Pats were thinking that with the selection of Big for Nothing Harry. I know FredFD see the similarities but I would hate to mis-judge London because of Harry what if he knows how to use his Big body well? I feel like there's a possibility of him being there when we select...I'm just saying.

$28million for a receiver is crazy. But then again so is $50millipn for a QB. Hope Aaron Rodgers is happy he took every last penny. Will be throwing to practice squad players

How do you feel about Tolbert? Some of his routes are nice. Starting to grow on me as a player in that 60 - 100 range.

Maybe like Moss, DAdams is gonna suck with the Raiders, and we'll trade a 4th Rnd pick for him in a few years.
I'd say thats more likely than not (by Adams' well established standards). What have the Raiders done to address the OL? As we well know, games are won and lost in the trenches.

Haha I hope so

But Adams is a beast man. I think he'll do great in Las Vegas

He will also have Waller and Renfrow to get some of that double coverage away from him

Packers have alot of picks now wonder if the would take Agholor off our hands for a Third? They need WR's now.
That would be highway robbery. But I think the whole reason they traded Devante Adams was to free up cap space so probably wishful thinking.

Wonder what Aaron Rodgers is thinking right now?

Josh doesn't want to go tits up in year 1... Thats one huge price to (over)pay
It's arguably an overpay. But the Atlanta Falcons "overpaid" for Julio Jones and he became the perfect weapon for Matt Ryan over multiple playoff runs.

And arguably it's less of a gamble because Adams is a proven NFL stud whereas Julio Jones was drafted on potential and scout projections.

One of the better r/r in the class. Uses tempo well, changes speeds and stride length with ease. You can tell he's studying and practicing different techniques for different defenders he's going up against. Everything looks natural nothing is segmented, he's not advertising his next move or what's about to happen. He some decent explosion off the line, in-route but is inconsistent coming out his breaks. Former baseball player and it shows in how he tracks the ball. I feel like he could play X/Z and do some damage as an outside guy. Just the way he plays. His stems, adjustment or anticipation. You get the sense he's putting in the work in the film room or practice field. Hands could be better. Could improve on double moves or anything where he's selling something. I like the way he handles press. Release package could expand a bit but I love is how physical he is. He makes it happen doesn't fool around too much there but again could improve some. I like him.

Just sent this to someone asking about the draft. Nothing final, a guy or two might jump a spot or two but this is a good rough look of where I'll be at.

I made a comment at the beginning of the season that I can't wait for people to bring up Harry when talking about London or Burks. I think it was Burks but I knew Pats fans wouldn't be able to shake it lol.

Anyway London is a better r/r than Harry. He'll use his stride length & tempo while running routes. Better at attacking zone. Just as good of a blocker. Great body control. There are a few similarities but you can't think like that. Once you do that it's over. Also I love Fred but he watches 4 mins of highlights.

I'll have a 2nd on him and think he could be very good #2 someday with a little luck.

Yea only at 21. Like don't love him and have questions about how he'll do against NFL corners that can press. Don't want to say he's redundant with the players we already have but yea along those lines. I know he ran fast in Indy but I don't see that raw speed on film. If you can't consistently win outside I have a hard time touching you in the 1st RD. 2nd RD value imo.

Julio Jones was, as you say, an overpay in draft capital, not cap dollars & draft capital; but it wasn't a reach. He was also 22 years old when that price was paid.

5 years, 142 million... quarterback money for a wr... I think its too much... maybe im right, maybe im wr-wro- not...

Bacon: I am huge fan of Georgia's George Pickens by george BB loves Georgia players even though the returns have been mixed. I hope he doesn't shy away from the School this year because I think Pickens looks like a can't miss prospect he's very polished. Christian Watson reminds me of a raw Randy Moss when Christian Watson runs it seems like everybody else is walking he has a serious ceiling nuff said!

florio posted a breakdown of the deal... the size and scope of the deal was vastly misrepresented, so the intial reporting was all about fake contract numbers... still a huge deal, but unless the cap spikes in 2025 & '26, I cant see them paying him 35 million a year... thought that 28.5/average seemed too high

"Here’s the full breakdown of the Adams deal.
1. Signing bonus: $19.25 million.
2. 2022 base salary: $3.5 million, fully guaranteed.
3. 2023 roster bonus: $20 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed in 2023.
4. 2023 base salary: $6.03 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed in 2023.
5. 2024 base salary: $16.89 million, guaranteed for injury at signing and fully guaranteed in 2023.
6. 2025 base salary: $35.64 million.
7. 2026 base salary: $35.65 million.
8. 2022-26 per-game roster bonus: $500,000 annually.
9. 2022-26 workout bonus: $100,000 annually.
10. 2022-26 incentives: $250,000 for making it to the Pro Bowl, annually.
In reality, it’s a three-year, $67.5 million contract. The final two seasons pay out a whopping $72.5 million that Adams may never see, given that he’ll be 32 when the final two years kick in."

Raiders must have tons of cap space.

McDaniels has the pieces to make a deep run... Patriots WEST

ty for posting this.

3 years for $67.5M is not crazy compared to others, if one believes that he is the best in the NFL. Adams could have gotten more from other teams, including GB. He wanted to go to LV.

Adams is really good, sure, but I don't think he's the best WR in the league. Hill is probably the most dangerous guy out there, in that scheme and with Mahomes.

Adams was targeted 169 times last year, and had the best "thrower" in the NFL sending the ball his way, and yes, I think Rodgers, for all of his other flaws, is brilliant in flicking a pass from nowhere to hit a guy on the numbers. To put that number in perspective, Bourne was targeted 70 times last year, Agholor 64. Adams had 1553 yards, Bourne, with less than half the targets had 800.

NO, I AM NOT SAYING BOURNE IS IN ADAMS' LEAGUE, but the point stands that having that many opportunities, and having Aaron Rodgers throwing you the ball, is a pretty big advantage.

Is he a top 5 WR? There are some good ones, but yeah, I'd probably have him in the top 5 (a list that changes 3+ players each year, since very few sustain that top-5 production). Is he worth that kind of money? No way.
