Collins played RT & LG for the Cowboys. Seems those are 2 exact places we need replacements.
Same age as Brown, but doesn't seem as injury prone, but had 1 whole year off with a hip injury in 2020, so less wear and tear.
I say he'd be a great pickup.
Wynn - Collins - Andrews - Onwenu - Herron
Then Collins & Onwenu are good Tackle backups, and Sherman & Ferentz the Guard backups.
It might be that Collins does not want to play for Pats and prefers to be teleased so he can pick
No. The post June 1st designation is available for releases but not trades.

I’m just spitballing here which I’m prone to do, but could the Patriots no longer having any interest in Collins be because he flunked a physical with the Pats scuttling a trade. He’s had multiple injury issues. To their credit, the Pats would not let on he flunked a physical as to not hurt his market value.
might be Collins does not want to play for pats?

Sucks to lose out on Allen Robinson. I hope the Pats were willing to outbid the Rams but it's hard to win against the defending champs.

The only positive about the Robinson deal is that it means that the WR free agent market prices are crashing down. That means the Pats can get Landry or whoever else is left at the top end of what is left for very little.

BTW, the Jags grossly overpaid for Christian Kirk. How is he getting $18-20 million a year while Robinson is getting under $16 million a year.

Robinson to Rams. So much for that idea

For those wondering, the Patriots have not shown any interest in veteran WR Jarvis Landry, per source.

This is an interesting take.

One thing we to have remember is without Brady, the pats are no longer a prime option for FAs.

NE has bad weather and Mac Jones, while promising, is not an elite QB yet.

The Pats have to overpay for FAs instead of getting discounts

Weird how the Rams always find money and are on the verge of paying the bill but we are always responsibly building a team. Starting to think other teams have passed Bill in how to manage the cap as effectively as possible

That doesn't mean anything. The Pats never show their hand. We have seen over and over again everyone report that they are not interested in someone and they swoop in at the end and make a play for them and see claims that they are their top priority and then them not even make an offer.

I only believe the Pats are not in on anyone is when that player is signed somewhere else or there are obvious reasons why the Pats wouldn't sign them like Gilmore. You know they won't be signing Gilmore after how it ended last year.

The Saints is the biggest WTF for me. They cleared close to 100 Mil in cap space
