OT: Rodgers stayed with GB in 2022 (old thread got necro’d)

Green Bay stubbornly keeping Rodgers is an indictment on how scared they are to play Love. In fact, rumors are now floating GB is looking to trade Love.

With that being said, Rodgers is becoming the biggest choke artist in NFL history. His team is not very good, but there was no excuse losing to SF. None! Since he’s used the cop out of not having home playoff games for his playoff failures he’s 1-2 in his last 3 home games losing two straight.

Rodgers failure has managed to make me appreciate Peyton Manning more. Obviously Peyton’s 9 one and dones is a hilarious black mark on his record but the guy did make 4 Super Bowls regardless of if you think he was carried there for 2 of them. (Like me)

His team is actually pretty good and Lafleur is a great play caller.
I think they were good enough to get to an NFCCG, but that's it. The jury is out on LaFleur. Let's see how how he does with another QB.
the best WR in the game, decent option in Lazard and MVS,
Adams is becoming what Michael Thomas was to the Saints. Looks like the best WR in the game...until the playoffs begin. Once they run into a competent D that can slow down or even eliminate Adams, the Packers don't know what to do with themselves. Lazard and MVS have proven many times they aren't up to the task of picking up the slack.
a all pro LB in Campbell,
While you are right they had an "all pro" LB, he's the next Lorenzo Alexander/one year wonder. And he was terrible against SF.
Rodgers just cares too much about his interception ratio that when he has to take risks he doesn't.
Regular season or playoffs?

Too many teams need a QB. Denver and Pittsburgh are ready to win now.

The Broncos have proven that they will do what it takes to bring a Super Bowl winning QB to Denver.
The media, and this post, have way overplayed these 2 teams potential. Being ready for a new HQ QB is one thing, but I don't think either is proven ready to win now. PIT has a good D and some good O weapons, but far from dominant. DEN is average across the board. They'd actually be a lot like GB with Rogers. But the AFCW is going to be a 3 team race all the way. If Rogers went there, it'd be an even 4 way split. I think LV will take a big leap, LAC another step, KC even, DEN??
AFCN will be more competitive than it was last year. CIN leads the way, CLE & BAL probably win a couple more, and PIT??

that's why I think he stays in GB along with his friend Adams. Rogers has no heart and wont want to compete in the AFCW...he will stay in the NFLN and collect MVPs for a few more years while getting knocked out of the playoffs

Rodgers isn't going anywhere. Someone said Belichick got sick of "Brady's drama" so imagine trying to put up with this tool? Supposedly Rodgers wants a new deal worth $50 mil per season or something ridiculous like that. He's soaking up all the attention then he's just going to stay put in Green Bay. It's his best chance of getting back to the Super Bowl, that division sucks, if fact three of the divisions in the NFC are mostly garbage, and now with Brady gone there's one less obstacle there too.

The AFC is too strong, especially the West, so there's no way Rodgers will take that on, he's too soft. Softer than Peyton Manning was. Or his brother. I'd consider taking Eli over Rodgers in the postseason.

Roger’s is using every last ounce of leverage he has to squeeze the packers as much as possible.

No surprise Rodgers is at the top. Jackson Mahomes and Brittany Matthews don't really count. OBJ seems a little high. I'm a little surprised no Brady.

When Brady went to Tampa the hatred subsided significantly. Read almost any football forum from the past 2 years and you will see a sea change in how Brady was perceived. Ironically hatred for the guy went up in NE.

So if Belichick becomes the HC for NYG then his hate-ability drops? Not happening. Seems more likely Brady was never on this list.

So is Aaron staying or leaving?

I think the hate toward Brady was an extension of Bill and the "Patriot Way" and the accusations of cheating. When he want to Tampa, he shed all that and became more likeable to the other fanbases. IMO.

Look at the dates on these.

I think because his decision will cause the QB domino effect to go. As much as a lot of us don't like him and his attention seeking ways, the man is a incredible QB
against weaker teams

So is Aaron staying or leaving?
If he leaves he'll take the path of least resistance and play for the Titans. The AFCS is the closest thing that the NYFL has to the weak NFCN.

He can't. Tannehill's dead cap hit this year is monstrous.

Next year, Titans have an opt-out where they can eat just $18m dead money.

This is the sort of teen girl garbage LeBron pulls. One of the many reasons I dislike him. Rodgers is a tool as well. If you have something to say be man enough to say it. I'm not going to waste time trying to figure out what you really meant. Besides, who cares? It's not like he is going to suddenly stop being a choke artist. For all the gaudy stats he has little impact on playoff football.
