It wasn't like he could jump off the stage to help this woman, but to just turn and walk away doesn't look good at all. I did hear he is going to pay for her medical bills. But really, couldn't you at least look over the side and make sure she was getting medical help!

And if he jumped down and rendered aid, she would have sued him for negligence because he wasn’t a trained EMT or some sort of nonsense like that.

Sorry but this is the world we live in.

He doesn't have to jump down, start doing CPR, or try to diagnose a back injury. But maybe having a vaguely human response rather than, "Welp, not my problem" would have been a better look.

Horrible look. Normal human reaction is what his wife did. A look of shock and to check if the person is ok.

I think you have it backwards, if he was an EMT and rendered help then he is in danger of being sued.

A regular civilian with no medical training can help to the best of their ability without too much fear of a lawsuit.

Agreed. Really looks like a jerk there

Broken back and medical bills. SMH. This is the kind of thing that could go on endlessly.

Yeah he doesn't have to do anything heroic just a genuine concern for the person would be all that was needed. I get it he was hammered but damn he really said "Peace"

My understanding is the Lambs are covering all of her medical expenses and new camera equip.

So, what happens if you move someone that has been in an accident and they are paralyzed by your actions?

Im not referring to a car on fire. There are obviously circumstances where there would be no choice.

Do you realized that on a day of celebration that this guy is just quite possibly too drunk/stoned/high to help in any way?

I'd take that bet. Watch the video. He reacts to it, and basically pulls one of these:

Again, didn't say he had to help. Just a simple glaze over the stage to see if the woman was a ok would have been better than turning and walking away. By his facial reaction, you can see he knows something happened and he knows it wasn't good, and his reaction is to turn his back.
Just not a good luck.

The woman could've died from that fall. For him to turn around and walk away like it was no big deal was a terrible look. And did anyone else notice how he pulled his hand away from his wife before walking away? How does he not at least look down to make sure the woman was okay?

I thought he asked his wife to check on her, not sure if that's accurate but what I read.

For whatever reason, I've been fascinated with death/accident videos for awhile. Stafford's reaction actually isn't outside the norm at all; in fact, his wife should just be praised for her quick reaction to immediately change her mindset. She's the outlier, not him.

When serious accidents happen, most people react in a similar way as Stafford. It's some weird thing your brain does where it goes into a shock-like mode and you tend to normalize it or turn it into some half-joke. Now, if Stafford has been there alone and seen this woman fall, I highly doubt he'd walk away; the situations are different. In crowds of people, you tend to get a lot of onlookers react in a similar manner. And it takes some time for someone's brain to immediately switch from "fun/lighthearted" mode to "************...we need to help" mode. My guess is Stafford's wife was already in somewhat of a vigilant/protective state to begin with, since he was drinking.

Cause you're a psycho?

Kidding, kidding. Actually, that's an interesting phenomenon, and not one that I was aware of. Is that more horrific things than this though? I mean, this wasn't some grisly accident (at least what we could see). It just seemed like she took a header, and his reaction seemed weirdly callous.

For the record, I don't see the whole "he was too drunk to function as a human" thing happening--he took a swig from his water bottle and strolled away, he didn't seem that bad off. So really your thought is a more reasonable justification for his reaction than that, imo

Nahhh....it's fine, I get why people would think I'm a psycho. But I think death interests everyone.

It's typically more horrific things than this. Car accidents (pedestrians), drownings, industrial machinery, gang violence, etc. I found some good Reddit subs; the stuff I try to avoid is the excessive gore/violence because it makes my stomach turn (yeah I know, a very refined death video aficionado.)

But the kneejerk reaction from Stafford is pretty consistent from what you see from bystanders on there whenever something happens involving someone nearby being harmed. In that one second of processing what's happening, it's totally normal for someone to look away like that, back away, turn around, etc. That doesn't mean they're not going to come back to help or that they're not concerned. It's just a normal reaction. This isn't like the movies where someone slips and hangs off a ledge and another arm comes sweeping down to pull them. Rather, you have people just going through the normal routine of their lives, totally immersed in their own reality, and oblivious to the fact that in seconds, some totally unexpected thing is going to happen. It simply takes a little time for most people's brains to process what's happened and switch to a state of concern.
