Who will be the new OC?

Bunch of posters with no idea at all what they are talking about *****ing about coaches they have never interacted with, relying on talk radio to supply them with all of their “knowledge”. What a worthless thread.

No, I didn’t get that at all from what you said. You specifically brought up race in an attempt to gaslight the topic. At least that’s how I took it. I’m not a fan of Steve, but I also don’t know jack **** about him, other than what we all repeat amongst one another. His haircut is **** and what the **** is with those faces he makes? Looks like he’s high on coke. I also don’t know **** about Mayo. I assume he’s a good coach because of what we all knew of him as a player, but that could be wrong as well.

If Steve can’t communicate with the players, then he shouldn’t be a coach.

You are being too reasonable about this. Keep in mind that you're arguing with a Tom Brady fan who is trolling the main forum with as much negativity as he can muster.

Moving on? Goodbye and good luck.
Seriously, no way in the world you could tell me you would have confidence in Gase....NO WAY. Also this duel D.C. between Steve B. and Mayo has been a disaster too, am I wrong?? Make all the funny comments you want but people seem to ignore the fact that Pats haven't done squat since the 2018 season (it's 4 years later) and before you know it you keep believing this is the year they return. They're trending toward being mediocre....show me otherwise.

It's actually 3 years and 1 week since they won the Super Bowl.

Since 2018 they made the playoffs twice.

this reminds me of the time we played the 1985 bears.

Folks complained about how bad we played, and how many players and coaches should be replaced. The quality of the other team and their play was irrelevant, as it often is to fans.

We played one of the best teams ever in that Super Bowl.

In Buffalo, their team played one of the best games ever, especially their offense. Bill believed that and went into their locker room to congratulate them. Of course, some of our posters want to fire all our terrible defensive players and coaches because they weren't good enough.
7 tds on 7 straight drives is inexcusable.
The offense played out their minds.
But the fact the defense had no answers tells me everything needs to be reevaluated under a microscope.

I can't believe there's people on here who think Mayo and Bill's kid are good coaches. Mayo has been a defensive coach since 2019. Since 2019 the defense has not made more than a handful of stops when the offenses needed the ball back to have a chance to win or tie in the 4th quarter or overtime. The defensive failures are myriad from 2019 - 2021. Are people forgetting the last 2 games against Buffalo?
I've been on this forum for years upon years and have been getting banned left and right since 2019 for calling out this defense for what it is - a heaping pile of dog s h i t. I don't give a F about "points allowed." What good is allowing 19, 20, 21 ppg or whatever it is when you can't make a stop on third down until your opponent travels inside your 20 and eats up 4, 5, 6 minutes of clock?
The Patriots have played 12 games vs playoff teams the last 2 seasons - the brilliant defensive minds of Mayo and Bill's Kid have and coached a defense that's allowed 26.5 ppg vs playoff teams (and it's pretty even, 27 ppg in 2020 and 26 ppg in 2021). They are 3-9 vs playoff teams over the last 2 seasons.
If this does not improve next season, the Patriots will have to score 28 ppg to win games vs good teams and next year's schedule looks to be loaded with good opposition. The defensive philosophy of "bend but don't break" DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. Coach Bill's defensive "philosophy" (if you can even call it that anymore) makes the offense have to be almost perfect to win games. And if you have a couple of turnovers, forget it. Coach Bill's insistence on zone vs mobile qbs doesn't even work anymore as Allen and Tagavailoa killed them in key third down situations. It's time for a complete revamp of this defensive philosophy, but it looks like Coach Bill is staying with it.
I'll be waiting for my GDT bans for calling out the defense and the coach when Josh Allen goes 25-28 for 350 and 3 tds and runs for 70 and a td and when Jonathan Taylor goes for 25 for 180 and 4 tds....

Without a shot in hell to actually win anything.......You've been a Patriots fan all these years and don't know mediocre when you see it? So you weren't one of those guys who laughed at fans of teams who thought making the playoffs was a big deal? If your ok with them just making the playoffs knowing they have no real shot at anything more that's sad.....that's called "settling". Browns fans settle, Chargers fans settle, Raiders fans settle....I think you get the idea.

No I never laughed at fans who thought making the playoffs was better than not making the playoffs.
Why are you so emotional?
I or any other fan, have absolutely zero control over what the team does. How can a fan be accused of “settling”? They have no impact on anything so how did they “settle”?
Making the playoffs 2 out of 3 seasons is not “haven’t done squat”.
I’m sorry that you seem to feel your manhood is tied to whether you “settle” for what someone else does that you have zero impact on and you think it makes you better than other people because you get angry about it.
I think you get the idea.

Seriously, why do you waste your precious lifetime following a team that has such an inept coaching staff?
Why waste time watching games venting on GDTs raising your blood pressure in what you know will be frustration?
There must be better things in your life to do with the limited time we have on Earth that could bring you joy & peace.
If the Pats are sucking, sometimes I DVR the game and erase the 2nd half without viewing. Makes me lots calmer.
Did this lots less now that Mac is here. OK I never saw the 2nd half of the playoff game vs Buffalo.

Why shouldn't we want those defensive players & coaches, if they're terrible, to be fired?

You do understand, don't you, that you can enter & exit any thread you please at any time?

It's a bit odd given this season wasn't a SB run year that we're losing so many coaches. If Caley departs, it would leave Little Steven as the only 2018 coach left.

Our coaches are leaving for greener pastures. This is going to be a multi year rebuild so now is the time to jump for a better opportunity especially if a promotion is part of the deal.

God please no.
Where would Caley go?

Wherever someone needs somebody who had ZERO experience coaching TEs before Billy gave him the job here... or Las Vegas.

Caley's just another fuc-king John Carroll Slappy... He shouldn't be missed if Bill really wanted to hire experienced, professional NFL ass-istant coaches, and not the connected toadies littering his skeleton crew now...
