Richard Seymour now a hall of famer

Two days before SB 36 me and my father randomly wondered into the hotel the Patriots family was staying at. Seymour was in the lobby with a few family members. We didn't bother him since he was with family. Still was awesome. So happy for Big Sey and his family.

Much deserved and I’m glad to see them get it right in a style of play at a non glamorous position. Seymour was dominant and made life easy for our LBs.

Congrats to Seymour. He earned the jacket.

After his grandfather passed and he came back late from that absence, Seymour was held back for most of the 1st half at a 2003 Jaguars game in December (I was there) he literally tore apart the Jags for a couple of series, he was everywhere upsetting their pee poor offense.

It was the most dominant play that I can remember seeing in the NFL.. Pats won 27-13. No one player is bigger than the team...

I’m a little hazy on the details, but snow game, the Raiders last drive, third and one, if they get the first down the game’s over, Seymour sheds a block and stones the guy for no gain, Pats get the ball, you know the rest. Well deserved big guy.

Somebody needs to update Seymour's wiki pic to Patriots. My IP is banned probably from putting NVP in Mitch Tribusky's page lol.

Congrats to Big Sey, well deserved

Well deserved. One of my favorite memories of Richard was watching the broadcast of SB36, post game, one of those players celebrating shots while Madden and Summerall spoke over the images on the screen. They put up a shot of Willie McGinest talking to Seymour, and the best I could tell, Willie was still upset about the holding call on Marshall Faulk. I couldn't read Willie's lips to see what he was saying, but Richard was clearly talking Willie down. He kept saying "but you didn't" or something to that effect. I remember thinking that he had earned a lot of respect and was already a leader as a rookie. I have looked for it many times on you tube, have never found it. It was obvious that he was going to be very key to the team's success early on.

I was a very young man (18) didn't have constant access to the internet, couldn’t afford magazine publications, none of that. Basically, my excitement was predicated on what information was given to me. After they Seymour pick, I had two words fed into my brain. David Terrell. Seymour was slow, and unimpressive. A tweener who couldn’t sack the qb. It didn’t take long to fall in love with him and his style of play.

Would love if we could come out of this years draft with an end that is at least 70% of what Seymour brought. Get us back to the great years of having a team built from the trenches back. The game may have changed a lot, but a great DL makes everyone’s job easier!
