The fact that even became a thing was sort of a little odd...but it ended up freeing up the discussion a little more in there for the people who wanted to also actively talk about the Bucs, etc. I figured it was much better than locking everything into one thread and trying to sift through it depending on other news that was reported each week, so it wasn't a big deal. But I have to admit, I'm still a little shocked about how polarizing the whole thing became. And it wasn't just here, it was throughout the whole region. Definitely a little surprising.

Thank you. I was tired of getting blamed for the creation of the Tom Brady Forum. The fact is it was your decision to do it and everyone should respect that.

I always thought this Bucs writer was a clown…

Did Brady really officially file papers to retire? Gronk supposedly retired but not officially and came back. Maybe Tom is sparing himself while looking for a better opportunity.
No and it’s not Brady that files the retirement paper but the Bucs. My guess is they’ll file the retirement paper post June 2 when they can get cap space back and I wouldn’t be surprised if Brady restructure too.

You can come back even if you have filed retirement paper

You whined and *****ed and cried about it. And then after he created the sub-forum, you spent two years planting your fat ass in the thread trolling everyone.

Everyone does respect Ian. No one respects you. Take a look at this entire situation; maybe you'll figure out why that is.

I also can’t think of one team that would not have let the greatest Qb of all time finish on his terms. Don’t get this twisted. The Pats made it about them and their “system” two years ago and the Goat left and won elsewhere while we are in the middle of a multi year rebuild.

Based on what?? The addled ramblings of Mark Bertram or Mike Felger?? if you follow this dynasty the BB philosophy has always been "move on from a player a year early rather than a year late", in this case he was wrong, but there are and were so many holes in the in this team not sure they could have helped his "legacy" by staying here..

FYI the Pats "system" is a creation of local media, every team has some sort of system and values, and his salary of $28 Million was a tad too rich for their liking... #12 could probably not have taken the Pats very far in the "Tournament" in 2020.

You do realize, Ian, that you would be disenfranchising all the diehard Buccaneers/anti-Patriots fans who nurtured and reinforced each other there. That will be mighty hard on the poor little Tommy-loving souls who considered it their safe space from the main forum. I'm all for it.
This would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. Again, that forum was created to provide you and the rest of the triggered Team Bill krew a safe space so you didn't have to read about Tom Brady, the Greatest Player in NFL history and the leader of the Patriots for 2 decades, mentioned in a Patriots forum.

It actually became a joke that any mention of Brady got jettisoned to the forum. Nobody in that forum asked for the forum. It was whinny cry babies like you and your click that hounded Ian for months asking for any mention of Brady to be removed from the main forum.

Ironically, you, Mac10 and a few others proceeded to troll that forum every chance you had (usually after a Brady loss).

I'm all for Brady being allowed to be discussed in the main forum, since he's the greatest player in Patriots history. Fortunately, I won't have to drive to Ian's house waiting for the white smoke to come out of his chimney for the decision. Lol

I never thought I'd see the day where Belichick called someone other than LT the greatest player ever.

It was just this past season BB said Tom was the greatest offensive player and LT was the greatest defensive player.

Interesting how he modified his position.

Despite some of his public comments, I have no doubt that deep down Brady still harbors anger toward, BB, perhaps Kraft and the patriots organization. This was evident in his Instagram post.
Not sure I can lame him. He gave the Patriots everything he had for 19 years, told them he wanted to be a Patriot fro life and basically they quit on him and gave up on him. He was embraced and welcomed with open arms by his new team.
Ask yourself, if you were in this position, wouldn't you be pissed.
He gave this organization so much...and BB and Kraft would not pay him for a lousy 2 or 3 extra years.
Kraft stood idly by while all this happened.
I just read a post that said that Brady finishing in another uniform was inevitable. I'm not sure that it would have taken much for Brady to stay.

Try and imagine how different his retirement would have been if he stayed and finished his career here. The Pats would have probably had a few more wins and Mac would have had a year to learn by watching Brady, but that letter would have been spectacular from our point of view.

You and the others deserve it for switching teams. Now you’re back here with Brady retired and the rest of us have to deal with it. Tell me, are you rooting for Joe Burrows in the Super Bowl?

We know from multiple sources including I believe Tom’s dad that Belichick never reached out to Brady via text or call to congratulate him on winner the Super Bowl last year and that absolutely floored him. That slight doesn’t go away fast.
If that's true it will never go away.

At the time Brady left I mentioned that if I had to choose one of them to go it would be Belichick every time. Now that Brady's done I'm looking back on the two years and I'd still prefer Brady.

Kraft is a piece of garbage. Why defend him? “Laundry?” The guy had a escort-looking girlfriend before his wife’s body even went cold. Gimme a ****ing break. Tommy was the best and most likable thing about our football team and he was betrayed and stabbed in the back, first but Belichick and Kraft, and then by all the fans that decided they amazingly liked them better than ****ing Brady.
I'm going to make a copy of this and put it on the fridge.

Brady never forgave the globe for the Best Buddies story regarding the deal that as part of his years long affiliation with them they donate to his kids school. Yeah that’s how rich people charity ventures work I wonder what we’d see if the books were opened on all of John Henry’s philanthropic ventures...
Try and imagine Bob Kraft having a celebration of the Pats first SB win and not inviting Brady. That's John Henry. The only thing those two have in common is money.

Thanks for the advice, but probably not.. his lack of acknowledgement of the Krafts, Pats Fans, BB and fellow teammates is pretty crappy (and deliberate).. on his voyage of life it has become more and more about him and his narcissistic leanings.. many teams would not have entrusted the 199th pick of the draft to take over the team in their second year. If he was not in this system, he may have just become another irrelevant player in the NFL who has been forgotten about.
The system argument took a huge hit when Brady left here and went on to win with coaches who many here scoffed at for years.

Has the NYFL forgotten about Montana or any of the great QBs? Not really. And they won't forget the GOAT.

Let me introduce you to Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, and Brett Favre.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand that it was good for both to move on?
Tom Brady has as many SB rings as Manning, Montana and Favre combined.

It was a mistake to let Brady go, especially when we didn't have a QB to take his place. Had he stayed he'd now be retiring as a Patriot for life.

Tom is on record as saying it was never personal. Was that statement part of the 90% of things he says not the truth?
with Tom everything seems personal.

That's the real mystery. It's one thing to let Brady go if you have a guy behind him and some sort of succession plan. But we had stidham and had to endure a season of cam Newton.

Now, pats landed on their feet with Mac Jones. But say he didn't fall to 15? We still would be throwing out retreads.

They want to ensure Brady is part of the Pats in the future and not Manning who associates with the Broncos only.

You infected even threads that had nothing to do with Tom Brady with your Brady trolling. Your obsession with TFB was clear for everyone here to see.

Porksley, I would venture to guess if a poll was conducted on the main forum, that you would be voted off the island. Get some help or try to get laid even if you have to pay.
