Brady's exit from the Bucs as it relates to the 2022 Patriots

Sure. Godwin is definitely a proven WR and there is an option we invest in him. However IMO there are more urgent needs like DL, LB, CB ( if JC Jackson leaves the team ) and maybe OT. We will see what happens during FA and hiw flexible our salary cap is but this draft class is loaded with really good Wrs so I will take my chance and try to find one in round 2/3.
There is no way this Team can keep JC Jackson and I say good for him. Offense is too anemic and need an infusion of better talent at WR.

Huh? I thought the Bucs are a super team…can’t they win with any top 15 QB? A lot of really smart posters in here claimed just that. I think they‘ll just land Teddy Bridgewater and win two in three years.

Teddy bridgewater is a top 15 QB?

The Pats are the team that pays big money for bottom of the marker players. Brady has retired. The time where you could get productive receiver for 6M is over. At some point we will need to pay for top of the market players.

I stand by Godwin at 20M after an ACL is a better investment than 11M on Agholor or 12M on big RZ target Smith
I’d rather have Chark For 8 or 9 mill.

Based on deals for Amari Cooper and Keenan Allen's deals, it may be closer to $20 million a year.
They don’t need Godwin, they need a true #1 who can stretch the field. Godwin is really good but Evans is the #1 in Tampa. I would look at Robinson and then draft a top receiver in this draft. They need Bourne to be a #3, and Meyers a # 4 to have a receiving corps that will provide Jones with the talent to flourish.

Godwin is a very good #2 who will likely get a #1 payday.

SF is in the market for a corner. I can seem them making a big offer for JC Jackson.

Show us “ the homers” touting Agholor’s play? I haven’t seen anyone in this forum talking about “ how good Nelson Agholor was..”

You are simply making sh.t up.
That seems to be the patsfans.com way, which funny enough mimics Boston sports radio. Make up an argument literally nobody (or literally an extreme minority) is making, and argue against said dumb argument like you're a genius

Yup, Brady joining the Bucs was like KD joining the Warriors according to some morons on this forum.

Sure, the Bucs had not won even a playoff game in 17 years before 2020 - and the Warriors were coming off the most wins in NBA regular season history, 2 finals appearances with a championship but it was basically no different.

Plug anyone on that previously 7-9 Bucs team and they go from 17 years without a playoff win to a Super Bowl championship easily.

Can we at least admit they have elite receivers and then added Gronk and Antonio brown to that group? Going from nkeal harry and one legged Edelman to. Mike Evans, Godwin (who were already elite) then add those 2 guys was a HUGE jump in talent.

Mac Jones needs a #1 receiver. Look at Joe burrow how much better he looks this year with Jamar chase. Improved in every category. Look at Josh Allen once he got Diggs.

Now it doesn't have to be a Jamar chase. Can be an Edelman. But the team needs a guy who can get open constantly and take defenders with him

The NFL is changing. It's an offensive league now and we can't keep putting out "average" receivers and hoping the QB can make it work.

Almost every team in the playoffs had a legit #1.

It is funny that Bill was ok to put 22M for Smith and Agholor but wouldn’t put 16-18 for Godwin who is 10x those players
Godwin wasn't available last year for the Pats as he was Franchised and signed his franchise tender.. Not sure how you don't comprehend that.

The Pats don't have 16-18M this year to spend on a WR like Godwin.

Now, maybe it's just me, but my focus would be on the defense that has let us down each of the past 3 years. Especially since Collins and HT are UFA. McCourty has voided years that need to be dealt with. The Pats need some middle-of-the-road LBers for a year or two while they bring in more young talent. They also need to a Slot CB to work behind Jones.

You underrate both Bourne, Meyers and to some degree Agular. Bourne had over 800 playing only about 50% of the offensive snaps and only 70 targets with a rookie QB. Meyers has been an excellent #3 he had 866 yds, about what you want your #3 to get and again with a rookie QB. I believe that with more snaps and more targets from a better QB in his 2nd year, Bourne can be much more productive.

And as for Agular, I don't think he ever got the chance to show what he can do. While Mac was being spoon fed the playbook, Agular spent most of this season running clear out routes for others to get open. He had only 63 targets all year. Not many chances to shine. With a better QB, I think Agular will get more opportunities next year. Remember with a mediocre Raider team he had 900 yds and almost a 19ypc average. He CAN get it done or at least get it done better next season.

Patriots better hope some of those Stiffs they Drafted finally develop ie... Kenne and Assisi. The Agholor situation is not looking good average players don't get paid $10Mill.
You haven't been watching the league much lately, have you?

We need 2 new receivers to play meaningful snaps or we won’t be able to compete.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bill trade Agholor back to the Raiders along with Harry.. Agholor goes back to the QB he shined with and Harry gets the fresh start he needs.. I think it's a win/win.

Yes the forum idiot is back. We should all rejoice

Yep stopped reading right there and didn't even waste the key strokes on the other $10Mill Stiff. The Patriots have two many #3WR's we CANNOT compete with the Bills much less Chiefs with those cast of characters nuff said!

Don't tell that the homers.
1. You are unfortunately back here
2. You are constantly lying about people being homers
3. You constantly throw out the homer insult
4. You are stupid.
5. There isnt a poster here who you would call a homer to their face because they would smash your pu s s y face in.
6. See #4
7 PHUKK off

the fact that you think the OFFENSE is the issue when it was the DEFENSE highlights your football knowledge or lack there of..

And, for the record, @patfanken has probably forgotten more about football than you could know. You insulting him the way you did is completely ridiculous.

Thanks Chris don't know what the Homers see thorough their glasses I see an Un-talented two scores down game over Offense. I think they forgot how we backed into then out of the Playoffs.

Couldn't agree more I hope the Game isn't passing BB by on the Offensive side.
