If the mystery QB is indeed Brady, then it was done following the season ending game and during the start of an offseason when he would become a free agent, so that puts it in the "legalized tampering" category at worst.

The “legalized tampering “ period starts 3 days before the start of the new league year in March. Before that, it illegal tampering.

1. The Miami claims go to why he was fired. Claims that Owner asked him to perform unethical / illegal acts and his refusal = his firing.
2. His firing and subsequent statements by Ross about him basically blackballed him within the NFL = collusion.
3. His interview experiences with Giants & Broncos just demonstrates the system is a sham to keep minorities out = systemic rascism.
4. Then why did MIA hire him to begin with? See #1 above. It's all connected. I think he's got a lot of data. He's looking for others to join (Leftwich, TheEnemy, Biwles, Mayo) by making it about the cause and not money or career.
5. All of this in the middle of the NFLs much publizied campaign against systemic rascism.

Me thinks the NFL needs to worry.

Saying no one ever followed the Rooney Rule (largely true) shows why the NFL is in trouble. Teams got lax about paying lip service to it, as there was apparently no risk. But the risk in not following your policy is very real, and saying the policy was really not meant to be real will get you killed in court.

This is a stupid suit. I can understand going after the Dolphins, but adding all that **** is just stupid. I mean Doug Pederson won a freaking super bowl and still got fired a short that time later.
The NFL may be whatever, but to say you are not being hired because you are black in this case is specious. He is good, all he had to do was go for a DC position somewhere and reestablish himself again if all the slots gets filled up this round, but his ego will not let him.
