Pederson made the playoffs 3 times in 5 years and won a Sb. Flores made the playoffs 0 times in 3 years. There isn’t an argument about who is more qualified based upon their resume.

Giants, Phins, Broncos, showing up drunk and late, a sign of disrespect, Belichick says they already gave it to Daboll within 2 hours of Schoen setting up an interview with Flores. Disrespectful. assume its true that the Giants were "committed" to hiring Daboll before they interviewed Flores. What shockwave do you expect?

When Giants hired Schoen it was pretty clear to everyone they were hiring Daboll. I'm assuming the Flores interview was setup before that. They could cancel or hear what the guy had to say even if it was 0.0001% chance the guy had a shot...

While not a direct analogy, Belichick himself scouts/talks to players whom he has no intention of signing currently because you never know what will happen down the road.
