I'm actually more disappointed about Brady capitulating on this. There is a reason for him not mentioning the team he was with for 20 years and had so much success with when he is typing up his retirement announcement. The fact that the Pats didn't cross his mind or they did and he omitted them while writing that says a lot to me. Wish he would have stood by it instead of pr spin tweets.

Tom is, if anything, incredibly astute about his image and his team (led by Giselle) is also incredibly astute. There's no doubt in my mind that his leaving out mention of his Patriots time was neither an oversight nor meant to give offense. His Man in Arena series clearly shows his feelings towards both Bill and the Pats organization as do his comments after the regular season game. He will do something special / different for the Patriots, his former teammates, and us fans. If you know Tom at all after twenty years, you should know to have faith.

I agree but I don't think he meant to diss the NEP. He just wanted to be real with the Bucs fans and the Bucs org.

Based on how things go over the next few months I could be completely wrong and also reserve the right the change my assessment
