Hey Mahomestokelce

I just watched the 1 hour highlights some great plays by both teams. However there were 3 other things that stood out...all fouls by the Chiefs.

Jersey pull on Chase
A Bengals receiver had his arm pulled back quite openly
A face mask penalty on a Bengals reciever

How did the officials miss all 3 ? Of course there could have been fouls by the Bengals in the game as well to be fair
Also a face mask on One of Burrows scrambles, and hold/block in back on Kelce TD. To be fair though the Bengals had some Jersey grabs too

Yup, the Cheeves could use a heady game manager behind center, someone steady and reliable. The video game style sidearm no-look gunslinger style of quarterbacking is so "yesterday."
I love watching Mahomes play, he is exciting. BUT... it has to be infuriating to try to coach him. That backyard style of football is only going to go so far. I think as long as they have excellent skill players like Hill and Kelsey for him to throw to, they will be fine. The moment that they leave because his contract is so heavy on cap management, then what is he going to do?

I agree but that wasn't a good performance by either Mahomes or Burrow
Doesn't have to be a perfect stat line. Brady didn't usually light it up in playoff games, especially in the first half of his career. Just gotta not let the dumb stuff add up, and Mahomes got ****y and left his brain on the bench after the first 21 points.

Edit: you can't say c o c k y?

I understand it's the playoffs, but Brady's playoff stats are as good as his regular seasons.

Also, when you say first half of his career, first 10 years?

I remember fantastic playoff games as early as his 3rd year. Against the Panthers in the Super Bowl. Against the Steelers. He had some outstanding games.

So giddy that KC lost. They make no sense. Just came out from half time like they could sleepwalk to the SB??? Maybe Mahomes worse loss so far, maybe it's like he got tight under pressure.

I didn't say he didn't have great and amazing games.

My point was that even when Brady wasn't at his best, he usually minimized his mistakes and didn't leave his brain in the locker.

In his first ever playoff game in a snow storm, he threw for 300 yards in the second half and led a 10 point comeback, scoring the only TD himself.

Yes, I mean, I consider Mahomes the best in the game, but he hasn't been trending well the last 2 years.

As for Burrow, I think he's highly talented, but his playoff future remains a little cloudy. Just a bit inaccurate for my taste
Huh? He just finished a season in which he completed 70.4 percent of his passes to lead the league and he's at 68.2 percent for his career. Inaccurate??

This may be a premature take, but this is something I've noticed. Mahomes has his go-to move when his hair catches fire and that's to start one way and spin around to go the other way, which used to work great for him because he's pretty quick. But this year, it looks to me as though defensive players are being coached hard on that move and it isn't working nearly as well and often leads him into sacks. We'll see going forward.

Was talking about the game yesterday

Most folks here are too young to have seen this but it's exactly what Fran Tarkenton did back in the '60s. I'm sure there are clips of Tarkenton's wild scrambles on YouTube.

If your the best team there shouldn't be any chance of an upset.

In otherwords, the Chiefs were superior in most positions. If your so much better, why did you blow an 18 point lead?

I'd rather hear "They were the much better team today. We lost. No excuses".

I also hate (When a big upset occurs): "X team would've won 9 times out of 10. But Y team got it done today".

The best team across the board is hosting the SB in two weeks. Honestly I'm not so sure the Chiefs would've been favored over LA.

Glad Chiefs lost. The decision to throw to Hill before the half and not take the 3 points was the turning point. Hill is a women and child beater so was glad to see him tossed to the ground like a rag doll....Peace.

Mahomes is a stud and will end up winning a few more SB's. He's only 25 and has already won a lot in the playoffs.

AFC is going to be really tough for the next 10 years. Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Lamar. If Jones can make a big leap he might be included as well. Those are some really good QB's.

I'm here to take my punishment.

Mahomes absolutely sucked today. He was awful.

Reid wasn't great either.

But this was the first time Mahomes looked like a scrub. And there's no OL issues to blame.

Would I take Mahomes over every other QB in the league? Absolutely.

I believe he will bounce back and win a few more SB's.

But the Brady comparisons are over. They should've been over a year ago. There will never be another Tom Brady.
Your last sentence says it all. There will never be another Tom Brady.

I thought that game was one of Mahomes' worst and I don't recall another like it.

And I think that playoff runs are going to be more difficult now.

Who you like in the SB? I'm a huge AFC guy and I also like the Bengals. My wife was friends with a former Bengal SB player, who tragically passed away many years ago. I definitely would like to see them win it all this time.

One other thing that fans don't realize (or care about ) is that an AFC win would re-tie the SB record for the conferences. It took many years to get that tie only to see Brady get dumped and win one for the NFC last year. A win would also tie the season's record between the conferences.

Go Bengals
