If he is 2 yrs 13 mil another team will offer more and he will go there.
He is not a FA.

Assuming he doesn't successfully fight the toll of the contract, he will play for what is left on the contract, or renegotiate downward to facilitate a trade that he likes.

He's a liability. The last thing this team needs is to risk putting money towards a guy who gave up playing in NFL and was on the verge of making a ton of money for "mental health" issues.

Why the "mental health" in quotes?

You think he is making it up?

Nah, think its too risky if it would cost us a 2. Were still in the process of building up and i dont think were in position to pull a move like this …. Need to save those picks and build from within.

I just think it's bizarre a guy walks out on the verge of a major pay day. Many people have demons their dealing with, but they don't have the luxury of just walking out of their jobs.

We didn't hear a peep about him until he just randomly comes out and says "he's walking away".

Like Josh Gordon, I wouldn't want him back after the stunt he pulled on the Pats in 2018.

Ok, even worse, why would the pats give up a draft pick and more money after spending so much already on pass catchers? I mean this has not been the MO for the last 20 years. Bill was probably not happy watching his D get trounced on.

Terry Glenn part deux won't fly with BB.

What D?? Confused??

Scared about the mental health issues, but also realize that it’s the only reason he’s available.

WR that would most definitely fit + help. Worried about availability.

Extremely risky. Pats need to bring in players who can be relied on when going gets tough as it inevitably will

Hes made 11m before taxes and as long as he hasn't been an idiot with his money he can afford to take some time, get help, etc.

What I will say is if he is using this as a leverage point to shoot his way out of town he is the biggest piece of **** going.

I'd trade a three for him... in a heart beat.

and the falcons owe us... forking over a two for sanu

It will take a 1 plus. He’s a really good player, but I wouldn’t give his worth unless I knew this is where he wants to be, and he’s committed to playing. Great and unreliable gets you nowhere.

Would much rather sign Allen Robinson and keep our picks. I think he’s the exact receiver mac needs

I would consider a trade. But they would need to do a lot of research on the guy. And I wouldn't give up too much for him since he is a risk.

The Pats have gambled on guys like Moss (who quit on two teams), Haynesworth, Josh Gordon, Corey Dillon, and other players who had significant question marks and risks. So I don't think Ridley's melt down this year excludes a trade for him. But I think Belichick only trades for him if he can get him on the cheap in terms of trade compensation.

Given all the problems this team needs to fix, and assuming Atlanta either refuses to trade Ridley or asks too much for him, let me offer you a howabout, just for chewing over:

Cut Agholor
Sign Berrios (or get a better slotWR if you can)
Draft Williams (Alabama wide receiver with ACL injury, who should fall a bit in the first round), and that makes it

Williams
Berrios
Bourne
Meyers
Someone not named N'Keal Harry

I'm not particularly enamored with Berrios, but that would, at least in theory, fix the WRs.

Atlanta still having a laugh after trading us Sanu for a 2nd…seems like they are setting us up to fleece us again

He is one of the best wrs in the NFL. If the money worked out I’d definitely consider that a done deal.

If you look back at any of my posts regarding Randy Moss I was in the no way he’s coming here camp. Same for AB. I was wrong then and I’m not going to say this isn’t going to happen because you never know? BB does surprise from time to time with a shocking move now and then.
